It my opinion, it wont make sense if they show some monster they created, when the first 3 movies didn't suggest that at all.
theyve said they tryna make this one scarier than the others. also yes they made one new dinosaur for this film and its inspiration was trex mixed with xenomorph mixed rancor from star wars. its also the same writer who wrote the first film and they're going back and adapting stuff from the original book that they didnt include in the og film

yeah, I don’t like the last Jurassic World movie because it barely involved the dinosaurs I did like the old actors coming back, but it just wasn’t scary at all

5:30 You probably feel that way because in the first Jurassic Park movies they used almost no CGI. They used mostly animatronics or puppets specifically made for the scenes. They look real and interact in a real way because they physically were on set. I honestly think they should go back to that way, or a hybrid between CGI and the animatronics.

Because its not a hybrid. Its not an attempt at bigger and scarier, its confirmed that it is from the original research into dino cloning, and that it's a failed clone. They were attempting to make a tyrannosaur and ended up accidentally creating a horrific mutated monster before they had nailed how to clone the dinos.
It makes sense because it's what would really happen. We would try to clone dinos and end up with horrible deformed monstrosities. I think it's an amazing concept.
Its definitely a more compelling antagonist than the hybrids.

The whimsical feeling stems from not only the amazing ambition that Steven had for first movie but the awe of watching dinosaurs for the first time in ways that look so realistic in movies. It’s hard to encapsulate that same feeling now because we see films about dinosaurs becoming more common after the magic that happened, including the recent Jurassic park films. It’s really hard recreate that same feeling for a majority of fans hence why they feel like they need to attach more aspects and genre into these movies like horror, comedy and such. The reality is that when comes to Jurassic Park no movie will ever top the first one. It’s like the feeling of listening to xo tour life by lil uzi in middle school for the first time and then listening to P2 (the sequel or the song on the same beat). You feel the nostalgia but not that same feeling you did when you listened to xo tour life

You just made me realize that the plot of the original Jurassic World is literally an indictment on the direction of the series as a whole "normal dinosaurs are boring and we need bigger monster with more teeth". Very ironic

Just to be clear this new (villain) dinosaur isn’t a Hybrid, it’s a mistake gone wrong that’s y they said it’s a “mutant dinosaur” and it was left on that island to be forgotten way before the original jurassic park! I personally love this direction their gg compare to the last few ones it’s more horror which is a call back to the original, i trust and put this movie in Gareth Edwards hands. 🙌🏽

I've learned from transformers one that trailers can sometimes just be completely different thematically than the movie itself
They already confirmed it will feature a new hybrid. Based off the xenomorph and the rancor. Personally I think it goes back to the main theme of the book and the film. The horrors of science and humans playing god

If you've seen one Jurassic Park movie, you've honestly seen them all. All of them have the same basic premise which is honestly played out. And I agree with you on this MCU styled humour that's honestly become damn near omnipresent in films today, which takes me out the movie completely. If only they knew how to use jokes in movies with moderation it wouldn't be so much of a problem. I think what made the first movie magical was that it was an original concept at the time and that during those days, a lot of practical effects were used to make the dinosaurs look and feel real.
They should have just shown the evolution of the dinos and adaption to the new world

Is it just me that would prefer a show or a movie about the original novels? An r rated show/movie? Maybe if they want to make a trilogy they can base it completely off the books that they cut out originally? Remember its just a trailer but still. Im with you Scru the hybrid stuff is getting old. The first Jurassic world was fine but it started to get old over time. I just want it to go back to the original movie. A horror with some comedy.
It seems like they are trying to go back to the first movie with the horror bit. The books are a horror show and the first movie kind of follows that path. I agree with you Scru that adding the mutant dinos is kind of pointless. Dinosaurs being dinosaurs is enough

2:45 uhhh yeah no, aside from the spino's looking a bit off, i think the trailer was great. tho i feel like they didn't need to throw that many shots of that absolute monster of a dino, or the dilo. otherwise i love it, and i'm sure the movie is gonna b peak

They’re going from the Book not completely the First Movie. They’re going to an Island Where These were The Dinosaurs That were supposed To Be in The First Jurassic Park but they were all malfunctions and Became more violent so They got left behind on a Separate Island. in the Novels The dinosaurs eventually got Malfunctioned in the cloning process And became Hideous. In one novel there was an scientist that made humanoid Dinosaurs and that was supposed to be Jurassic Park 3 but Universal Declined it but Steven Spielberg Already wrote the script. So this isn’t an idea they just pulled out their Ass. And we have to let go of the Original. That movie is a Masterpiece For a Reason And it will never Be done ever again unfortunately we have to let that go. Micheal Bay Transformers basically started a wave For Hollywood To just CGI Only On Real Places in the world. And that will never change. Now This Movie is gonna be more of a horror movie which thank god I miss that From this Franchise and This movie will have more deaths and more bloodshed. If we are seeing old Dinos for new movies it’ll prob get boring eventually. Plus the director wanted to make this one even scarier. Scientists obviously made fail attempts to make so that’s why we see lots of mutated ones
So basically, my opinion is I like the hybrids. I like the Spino and Trex design. But this new one they claim isn’t even a hybrid but just a failed experiment which is why the design is based on the Rancor, Xenomorph, and Trex mixed(actually confirmed btw). And I just don’t like it. I liked the Indominus and the Indoraptor. The thing is they actually looked like they could be an actual dinosaur. I don’t know what this new thing is. That’s not even close to what a Dinosaur is supposed to be and I don’t like it at all.
That’s why it was left on the island. Because it’s an abomination that they never wanted the public to ever find out about. Also it makes sense that they would create 1 or 2 mutated dinos in the early stages cloning.
its not a dinosaur and i don't know if you knew this scru but the dinosaurs in jurassic park to jurassic world are not actually dinosaurs they were just a mix of dinosaur DNA and other animals DNA but yea i didn't really like jurassic world fallen kingdom or jurassic world Dominion

The first one used a mix of practical effects and some cgi! They actually built large scale real word items and expanded on them……..it’s all cgi and ai now……weak presentation
