Paul thanks for doing this series of interviews. Recording and preserving the thoughts of engineers like Bascom is part of our heritage for the future.
Paul ... I really enjoy all the information you provide to the audiophile community. I was working as a Field Engineer for NCR a few years ago and tooling around the Denver area ... I ran across your factory during one daily run-outs and wish I had stopped in ... Best of luck to you! Tom
man o man paul you got me hooked....i love these personal interviews...thats why i love audio so much...it's the passion that people bring to the table, it shines trough the products that they make...
As a lifetime audiophile, I'm totally impressed by this man! I am native Santa Barbara, born & raised and know many of the people he speaks of. Gordon Mercer, owner of Audio Vision was a great guy also. Used to chat with him about audio, & fixes for problems. Funny thing is, I own a pair of Infinity RSiiA speakers, which were Bascom's personal speakers. I purchased from Joe Makray, who lived in SB, as well. in 1988..Kind of cool..putting a face to those very nice speakers! Owned many brands of components he speaks of...Sumo, BGW, SAE & Infinity..
