My First Races At Croft | No Limits Racing Round 4

  • Half way point of the season already!
    Full weekend overview with onboards from all the sessions from the newcomer 600 class.
    I've dropped a few spots in the championship standings due to a relatively low scoring weekend but I'm pretty pleased with the results considering my inexperience here.
    I would recommend Croft as a circuit for sure, the bumps make it pretty tricky if you're not sure how the bike will react but it's a fun challenge.

    Great riding mate....you maybe need to drop a gear more for corners?? You are losing so much time coming out of corners to other riders.

      I know 1st gear for the hairpin but what other corners would you say I’m too high of a gear in?

      Every corner you need to be further up the rev range so the bike pulls out of corner faster. You might think the engine is over revving but that's racing. It's a 600cc so needs to be revving hard

      @@alanpark9670 it’s a 675 Daytona so it relies a bit more on torque than a 4 cylinder, if I was to use 2nd gear instead of 3rd for the first corner for example, I think it would be unrideable 😂

      @@BlakeDidwell13 Blake, I used to race at Croft back in the day 1981 (250cc production), many other circuits too when it was closed. Some thoughts from me. You followed a guy for a few laps. Now I stopped the video at 22.41 but you followed him through there a few times. He is at the apex but going too slow and not using all the track. Get off the brakes early so you are going through the hairpin quicker, get on the gas early and use all the track, that will get you alongside going faster up the following straight. From the chicane to Sunny in, the track is how it was, Tower is a late apex and the track narrows (which makes it later) You can break impossibly late at Tower because you need to turn in late anyway. My best place was 2nd at Croft on an X7 behind a guy called Ray Goodall but he was on a faster Yamaha LC as were many others. Just something to think about, try out.
