    Stayed till the end, love the shirt. (Both shirts ;) ) I'm a scrapper here in Spain, its just a hobby at the moment, too many people do it here, not enough to go round. I save it up all year and take it in at Xmas normally. I did 5 trailers last time, about a ton on steel, plus all the non-ferris I have accumulated

      Yes, certain areas where there's a lot of competition, it is hard to get metal.. The way you could go about getting more is contacting businesses and other companies that have metal all the time. Remember people always have something they want to get rid of

    Okay dark humor on the shirt, but I still smiled. Oh so watched to the end. Tread mill would have cleaned. I think it's all a matter of ratio. If a scrapper is getting a lot of bulk then maybe pass on cleaning. But because of competition, then cleaning/separating metals perhaps worthwhile. Keep doing the thing.

    I liked and subscribed and read all the comments all but that really long one I read half of it and I watched the whole video nice shirt.
    I was picking up soda bottles and returning them to the drug store for the deposit and then buying one cent candy back in the late 70s before I was ten years old I was also mowing yards with my older brother. I am also an hour from the good scrap yard.

    • @Adventureswithmike1
      @Adventureswithmike1  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, some people don't mind working. I'm Going Out and hustling to get that money. I was the same way picking up cans when I was younger when I lived in the city.. It was just easy money. Now that i'm older I expanded on that.. I've just never been afraid of a hard day's work

    • @Adventureswithmike1
      @Adventureswithmike1  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @Assureddominance It's easy, you just add up all the money that you've made. And all of your tax deductions And your profit Is how much you make minus your expenses for the year.. So all you're doing is just claiming it as income. But if you make over a certain amount a year and don't have a lot of deductions, we will end up Happening to pay in.

    Awesome stuffman. Ive been going at it about a year now and love it. Do youeverhave any luck reselling items that you think are worth more? For example a stainless steel ramp?(thats been one of my few sales. Id like to get better at that aspect but lack the marketing skils)

    • @Adventureswithmike1
      @Adventureswithmike1  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I have resold some things in the past . It's all easier now. Because I bring the stuff to a friend of mine Who list the stuff online for sale So I don't have to be bothered. I let him make the prices up. And I get a 50 /50 split.

    I watched straight on through to the end. Let all the ads run, and they were all short ones. I have wondered about that, what counts for a ' view ', how that is calculated. I do container deposit, bottle and can collecting, but I am doing it in later life. Had it been going earlier in life then I could have done that for a modest living. Not too good now with the exorbitant cost of living. I figure that I am making, on container deposit, what someone doing a crappy inner city factory job was making in the 1970s. I am thus 45 years behind on cost of living - rate of inflation.

    • @Adventureswithmike1
      @Adventureswithmike1  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      That's actually how I started doing scrap when I lived in the city. Me and my brothers would go around and collect cans and bottles and bring them to the bottle. Or turn place which was only a few blocks from my house.. But it goes with anything the more volume you have to more money you'll make. We would ride around on our bikes and collect them It was easy and it was actually kind of fun.. But nowadays it's not that much money to survive on. But if you're Going to be collecting them if you see any copper wire anything with a chord Ore pieces of aluminum just try to grab the better stuff that pays more.

  • @markmullins4222

    How's it going? I used to drive 45 minutes to get rid of my load, At a scrapyard.
    And that was one way just to make 60 bucks.
    When I did it, everything went.
    Even The cords?
    When I come back? I did not have anything in the back of my truck.
