I understand what you say about the colouring in - I thought the same.
The life span of the print is the first thing I thought of because it is thermal paper. I know from past experience with thermal printed receipts etc that it is not permanent. That is the thing that would keep me from purchasing one of these. Thank you.
If you keep a receipt from an order or restaurant into your wallet or somewhere the "ink" is going to disappear or fade away in 2 years. That's thermal printing too. All the receipts are thermal printed

They have papers that last 20 years. I love the semi-transparent for photos and adhering to glass. I got the Phomemo MO2s which prints in 300DPI

Thanks for a great video! Sometimes when i print out a label horizontal, the printer prints to much blank paper. Do you what the problem might be?
There are different papers to choose and one them is the transparent one that will longer. Another one to choose is the archival-like

Hi can I ask if you get a lot of templates with this? So do you only print basic writing or can you add leaves with a product name ?

I don’t have that many templates in my app. Am I doing something wrong?
I plan on using it to print static QR Codes that last 6 months. Are these waterproof ?
While this one is intriguing and I've watched many videos, the longevity is indeed a turnoff. I ended up getting myself the Brother VC-500W printer which I would describe as a hybrid between this and one of the mini photo printers where it uses the zink paper of the mini printer in cartridges. There are different sizes so you can print narrow or wide etc. So, far I like it.

The Brother printer that u have - is it thermal printer or does it use ink? How long does the print last? Can’t use it to print spice bottle labels?

Can you print stuff with colour?
What makes you think that the ink from the markers will last more than 5-10 years?
What is the name of the marker again
I wonder if you could coat the image with varnish so it will last for a long time. There is the possibility varnish may blur the image. I just got one of these as a gift. I may try that myself.

I knew when people started sharing these on YT etc that the images wouldn’t last as it’s a thermal printer. It’s like a thermal printed receipt 🧾 - it doesn’t have a long shelf life. I like the concept of the phomemo being the black and white with all the fun paper options. But I haven’t figured out how I’d use it since it won’t last that long I wouldn’t want it in any of my journals or planners. This video was good though. Covered all the aspects and easy to follow. Lighting was a little dark making it a little harder to see some of the details of the prints. But it was helpful. Thanks
Some of the papers last 20 years. Which I think it’s pretty long. (• ◡•)
Elizabeth Flores yes I saw that they offer that paper option. At first they were marketing that. It’s good they have lots of options for papers
They now have a 20yr lasting paper on their website
printer is great, software is impossible and I can't find help for it. frustrated!!
Can you print smaller as in like label sizes? Or does it only print the square type, not rectangle?

I was thinking applying a cover of gel medium over the photo, hoping it will prevent the black ink disappearing. I just got mine and can’t wait to play with it. Thanks for doing this helpful video, Skylar.

Yes! What kind of gel medium would protect the photo and not cause further damage or yellowing over time? Initially i was thinking mod podge… is that a bad idea? Thanks so much to anyone who can help!!
@@JaneThatcher89 mod pod get yellows over time, so, I suggest Liquitex or Golden gel medium. T Holtz collage medium works well too. We’ll all see if the pics fade over time or not. Still don’t know.
Did it come with any of the clear sticker paper? Do u have to use any specific markers?
Mine did because it was a promotional package, I think you have the purchase the paper separately. I think any permanent marker would write on it.

I confess i am not that much into archival mode as i noticed that my first hobo from 2017 which has fountain pen writing is fading. I love the process of creating and enjoying mu supplies. Its a great product but i will stick to printing on normal copy paper😂

What type of markers are u using?
tombow brush markers.
That’s super annoying that the images would only last 2 years… that’s pointless because I work hard on scrapbooking for the purpose of preserving memories indefinitely.
Is there any sort of medium that could be used to seal the printed images… something that would protect the photo and not cause further damage or yellowing over time? Initially i was thinking mod podge… is that a bad idea? Thanks so much to anyone who can help!!
This printer paper reminds me of receipt paper of credit card receipts that fade over time. I don't like that at all.
There are other rolls you can buy that last up to or over 20 years

Ah, okay. My problem was actually that I downloaded the Phomemo app when I was actually supposed to download the Print Master app. Who knew?

6:20 - Every tutorial skips right over the most key step... how to connect it. It shows up in the Bluetooth on my Android phone but not on an iPhone or iPad. 🤷♂️ Same thing with another tutorial, they go right into the app, don't show it being connected.
