25 years later, The Tragic Prince is still one of the incredible songs in the Castlevania series! I am currently 31 years old and being able to hear your music while playing Metroidvania is one of the memorable things in my life.
You have no idea where to go, you stumble in the castle until “Clock Tower” area title appears and you are welcomed with an epic piece of music that slashes directly to your hearth. You cannot go further, as you you don’t have the double jump. But the musical notes dancing in your ears tell you that this is not a regular area, that this is maybe a step door before going into the truth, while you are (at most) at the middle of your epic journey. Mirichu San, you make poetry with musical notes, you paint oils in our minds with your sound. May your creations never stop being the bloodstream of our imagination. Thank you is never enough. 🙏

This is my favorite composition of all times, and listening to it's complete version is an incredible experience. It's magnificent, and makes the Prince even more Tragic (we assume the Prince is Alucard). A touch of desperation and yet hope. I teared up at a moment, this piece means a lot to me. Sin duda este tema es la representación perfecta de lo que sentimos al momento de entrar a Clock Tower en Symphony of the Night, hace poco estaba jugando este Castlevania gracias al PSP GO que tengo y debo decir que habia momentos donde prefería ir lento o quedarme un rato escuchando la musica, pero al llegar a Clock Tower tenia ganas de ir avanzando y derrotando a los enemigos y de momento detenerme para apreciar mas la canción. Muchas gracias por darnos estas hermosas composiciones y el empeño al darles el toque que merecen. The phrases played on the guitar were originally composed by me while playing the piano. The melody fits my hand shape so it's not too difficult to play on the piano. Of course it takes practice. Mr. Fujii has done the hard work of playing the piano melody on the guitar.

また、素晴らしい曲を有難うございます。ギターのイメージが強いこの曲ですが、ピアノの演奏はまた違った味わいがあっていいですね！
曲名の通り、アルカードの生い立ち、生き様を音楽で表現しきった渾身の一曲のように思います。（分かったようなことを言ってすみません）
しかも使われている場所は、橋の部分から時計塔、ドラキュラの間の手前にかけて。ドラキュラの1作目からマップとして存在しており、シリーズをプレイし続けてきたプレイヤーにとってはドラキュラの本丸にいよいよ乗り込むという、もっともテンションの上がる場所。初プレイ時にこの曲が流れて本当に興奮したことを思い出します。
サントラＣＤ所持していますが、見直したところ、この曲のリズムアレンジは、サイレントヒルの山岡晃さんだったのですね。本当に素晴らしい曲だと思います。ありがとうございました。
アルカードの生い立ちは、月下のBGM全体的な世界観のインスピレーションの源になっています。素敵な感想をありがとうございます。リズムアレンジの山岡さんや、難しいフレーズをギターで演奏してくださった、藤井さんにも感謝します。
