If you take a piece of tin foil and shape it into a cup shape then put that on your charcoal and the Bakhoor on top of the tin foil it greatly reduces the smoke and yields a greater fragrance. You can do the same thing with an oil burner. Your bakhoor will release its scent more slowly and it makes clean up easier.
Thanks! This was excellent and I will refer back to it as I try this method. I quit after attempting to use the charcoal, the exact brand you showed here, because it was so smokey and burned off my resin immediately. Plus, I'm also "paranoid" about setting the house on fire, lol!
Biggest thing about the traditional method (charcoal ) is light the charcoal TIP 1 - under the kitchen stove fan !! Tip 2 -let the charcoal burn till its completely covered with white ash..soooo important (aprox 5 mins ++ min ) turn off fan . TIP 3 - after charcoal is ash white on outside add a SMALL piece of Bakhoor ..A LITTLE goes along way .This isn't a quick and or rushed process.Slow methodical relaxed enjoy . PEACE .

Is there any bakoor you have tried that you consider to be a sweet/ spicy Amber scent? Or Gourmandish. I'm a big amber and vanilla fan in perfume and want to try bakhoor but I can't really find reviews or anything to help me understand what it may smell like.

Same here... fire is so scary... another reason I'm loving my electric Bakhoor burner has options for auto turn off times..
