From a sports bike rider who never had the desire to own a cruiser. The Fury really won me over I've rode a couple and picking up my 17' with ABS tomorrow. I know alot of people who like to call it "slow" and while true it's not the most "muscle" out there it's very serviceable and has enough oomph to get up and go as much as you'll need out of this kind of bike. As for aesthetics this bike is top 3 for cruisers on the market in looks in my personal opinion with the harley V-rod and Triumph Rocket 3 being the other two on my list. Any one out there debating if this is a good bike or not I'd say test one out you'll probably be pleasantly surprised if not blown away even.
A wonderful bike that receives a lot of mindless criticism. Honda has been making the Shadow/VTX line forever and everybody seems cool with it. They make a chopper replica and suddenly panties are in a bunch. It's a great, reliable and beautiful bike.
Beautiful and reliable yes (excepting the undersize battery). Having owned and ridden many bikes over a lifetime, I stand by my evaluation and comments, which are anything but mindless.
I got the cobra pipes on mine. Custom seat, Sure makes it sound bigger. Gives a bit of an hp boost. Sure needs a 6th gear though. i can hear your pipes - sounds nice
I actually had a guy on a Indian snub me. He wouldn't wave back because I was on a Harley Davidson. I wave at all motorcycles. If someone waves I wave back. Guys be friendly wave at other motorcyclists.
Ken, I see this video is old and I'm not sure if you are available for comments. As an experienced rider who has ridden and owned several bikes.( cruisers and sportier bikes) Is this bike, overall satisfying to cruise on, let's say within 20 to 100 mile range?
Overall I'd say many other bikes would be a better choice. The suspension is marginal and the full tank range is roughly 100 miles. It is a beautiful bike and much better handling than the average chopper, but it really pounds your back bone.
Poor weight distribution, somewhat vague feel in the handlebars, small contact patch in front, making it easy to lock up the front wheel in a panic stop, bike's geometry is not good for an inexperienced rider, doesn't give much feedback, etc. I owned many bikes over the years, this one is not for someone that is not already very experienced. You should pick a bike that handles well.
2013 Fury was the first bike I bought 4 months ago. As long as you respect the power you'll be fine. Not to mention taking an MSF class & practice practice practice.
HospitalmanMikey good to hear... I'm new and have my heart set on a fury haha. I'm about to take my msf class too. I bought a vstar 650 on a whim a while back and taught myself to ride around the neighborhood but only rode a few times cause I didn't feel comfortable on it.. I'm a big guy... Was at a Honda dealership recently and sat on the fury... I fell in love. Really want one.
+Zeus Razor Better than any chopper, worse than any normally configured motorcycle. It has a pretty big turning radius, but not so big that you hit the stops while negotiating tight corners.
+Zeus Razor Pegs aren't too low. On this bike, if you are scraping the pegs you are riding it too fast. I'd be more worried about the front wheel loosing traction. Really small contact patch and a rearward weight bias make it dangerous at peg scraping speeds/angles. This bike is a cruiser, although it has nice torque.

You gotta feel like King of the Planet on that Fury man! The long Cobra Speedsters on my Sabre really make that 80 ci motor grunt like a bear too.
You seem really nice to your neighbors for keeping her quiet.
Ken, give us some more Fury videos if you still have it. Thank you!
Sorry, only one I have. ButI can do a new one from Hawaii!
I currently ride a hd road king but luv all brands, u gotta admit that's sweet!

A masterpiece

You should’ve put slick ride🕶
Ken, do you think a beginner could handle one of these as a first bike?
This would be a terrible first bike. For many reasons.
+Ken Dorsey and what are those reasons?

How is the power on that bike?
After adding pipes, air filter, and F I enhancer, I would say it is adequate.
I'm torn bad... Comparing the Fury vs NC700 vs a fz. Fork it, I'm buying a Grom.
how does she handle in tight turns?
+Zeus Razor

Do the pegs scrape alot? I hear they're positioned pretty low

+Ken Dorsey BTW This has a lot more clearance and lean angle than a Harley softail
What's the point of these ride videos if the rider doesn't comment?
