Haha! yes... It's certainly on my shortlist. I'm not sure how much crossover there is. People say that the XD tone is like a polyphonic ML, and then there's that digital oscillator. I saw that NTS-1 recently but if the XD has the same digital engine that would be perfect.
Brill! I'm sorely tempted. In some ways I like the look of the Prologue, but it doesn't have the sequencer... Not sure which would be best. I do love the sequencer though.
@@Soundsauca In that case i would recommend you the XD. Besides of the Full Size Keyboard and the 8 Voices you get with the Prologue, the XD has the same features for half the price + the sequencer. If its the digital part of the XD which interest you most, you could maybe have a look on the "Modal Argon 8" and the "Korg Wavestate" aswell. Two new complete digital synth with a huge feature set and sounddesign capabilities! By the way: Nice Sounds you get out of the Monologue!
Thanks @FelixMelix, yes I've been looking at the Argon 8 which looks very interesting and experimental. I guess my concern is I have many digital synths and not too many analog ones. The XD as you say has a blend of both with good effects capabilities. I wish it had 8 voices like the Prologue, but in most other ways it's a better fit. The Korg Wavestate is crazy! Unbelievable amount of possibilities there. So much in fact I wonder how productive I might be on it...!! The Mininova bank took me an age, a Wavestate one might take far longer. Hmm decisions!
@@Soundsauca thank you so much ! There has to be a way to transfer Sysex data I just can’t find it and it looks like they aren’t planning on fixing it. I’ll probably have to make a bootable external hard drive with the last 32 bit OS and just do that but it’s a pain in the butt . Anyways you really make great sounds they are more in the realm of Brian Eno than techno which is what I’m into the most . I’m getting ready to add a Korg volca modular and a nts1 soon. I already have a volca sample which is my drummer basically
Hi Sammy. I had a look on the Korg site. There is an article which details that they are investigating support. www.korg.com/download/global/support/os/pdf/mac_compatibilitychart_KORG_en.pdf They also recommending removing the Korg USB driver (if you have upgraded) and use the standard apple one. This is the problem with all these proprietary bits of software. Years later there's going to be issues backing up/restoring stuff. I'll keep you posted but it looks like they're aware and dealing with it. Thank re: the sounds. Yes Soundsauca is more on the ambient side of life. I have plans for other stuff in the future but nothing concrete. I even have a full Peak bank that's hard as nails but just haven't got to doing a demo etc. Need more time!
I’ve been thinking about this and researching and I think I’m going to try to make an app . The code is pretty basic and I used to do some coding in the past . I just gotta make the librarian that exists 64 bit and I have the apple Xcode developers kit which is all I will need, that and some tutorials and a lot of cut n paste code. of course I’m not gonna sell it cuz I don’t wanna get sued but I’m up for a project ! wish me luck it’s been awhile since I’ve dipped my toes in these waters . I’m just to impatient to wait and they’ve been “working on it” for quite awhile something tells me we will see a new mono synth first
I think it was a square lfo modulating the filter at audio rate. IIRC I tuned it in to get that vocal type effect. Hope that helps. The Minilogue's lfo is slower so I don't think that can be replicated on that.
Hey m8, ah I think I know which one you mean. It's a while ago but IIRC it's audio rate mod on a square wave to filter cutoff. Great little Mono for bass etc. Still would like a Monologue XD.
I think it was a pulse wave, not 100% as the synth is not out. The lfo rate is up in the kHz audio rate and I think it was square. Filter close to self oscillation and the cutoff tweaked to a point where it has vocal quality. I think the XD doesn't have audio rate LFO so its one thing the Monologue does different. Hope that helps!
@@Soundsauca yeah it slightly different, but sometime it can have a bit of robotic sounding, thanks to osc's shapes I think, filter and third osc modulation.
Unfortunately not, the Monologue isn't patch compatible with the other logs. Shame really... Maybe some day I'll manage to get hold of a Prologue - great sounding synth by all accounts.
I need one of these in my life
Easily the best and most inspiring patch set for the Monologue.
Thanks Lars! I love the Monologue, it's got such a ballsy sound that's just so much fun to tweak. Best wishes!
Amazing sounds. If/when I pick up a monologue I'm getting these patches.
Good stuff Corey! They’re free so go for it!
Yes, inspiring, shows the almost vowel like sounds you can get by playing with the lfos, great work !
Thanks! Yes I’m partial to audio rate lfos - there are so many timbres to be discovered with small adjustments.
@@Soundsauca agreed, looking forward to next posts 👍
Do it! Get the xD You've got a good ear for patches an the production quality on the vids is really good. People would love it

I have had my Monologue for 3 years ,I use the Minilogue xd with it as well!
Excellent work & my sincere thanks for making this free for all of us. Appreciated.
Your welcome m8! I'd love to make it all free, but that's not viable for me right now. Enjoy;)
Great patches!!
Thanks m8👍
Thanks for the free patches
You’re very welcome ☺️
serious talent
Thanks Tony;)
Good sounds!
Thank you 😋
Will get them! Great!
Good stuff! Hope you enjoy.
These patches rule!! It’s to bad the librarian app doesn’t work with my operating system (big sur)or I would download these in a second
Oh no… I didn’t know that. I wonder if there’s another way to save them. Leave it with me and I’ll research this.
