Another way to identify a floaty is if you look at the front wheel(s) lifting up off the curb of the turn. Sometimes it's subtle but it's noticeable to an extent. ☕
The floaty thing has been around for more than 3 years, exclusive to some cars. While some which are slightly capable of floaty (like the Imola, sf90, Chiron) they need multiple nitro punches in order to take corner at high speed. Many of us would also love the video where you teach us how to take corners faster using non floaty cars (ds etense, vanda, ccgs, Huracan). There was some trick I remember, where instead of one wheel being in air, you position the wheel in such a way that it rests on a slightly elevated surface eg: footpath. This helped taking corners at high speeds for non-floaty cars, it helped me a lot in Grand Prix tbh. (It is very hard to maintain the wheel on footpath, obviously needs some practice). And the best part of this trick is that, NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW IT!
Superbly explained, for months I had a confusion whenever Asphalt TH-camrs mention "floaties". Now I know what it means... Thanks Amogh for the wonderful explanation!
@@Amogh0102 I recently have tried to do floaties but i forgot that they didn't work properly on slimmer roads, thanks for the heads up in the video sir, have a good day.
Have been looking for a good floaty drifting tutorial since forever and this is the best one I've seen and will ever need. This video tells you basically everything you need to know in only 5 minutes. Great job dude, looking forward to more tutorials from you in the future!
Please make these kind of videos on other kinds of tricks and techniques used by professional players for beginners and casual players. This is so helpful and easy to understand!
One important detail you need to make clear at 2:15, the direction of your 360 is determined by your last steering direction. So to 360 spin anti-clockwise/left, you must: 1. Tap left 2. Do 360 and make sure it's spinning to the left 3. Tap boost and continue drifting right For some reason, as soon as your car is at the correct angle to drift, it will regain traction start drifting, and it's why opposite-way 360s are very important to this trick. You didn't acutally need to spin all the way to do a floaty, it's more like (360° - 30°) instead of (360° + 30°) if you do it the wrong way.
This kind of skill worked well with me.Just prepare your fingers while carefully tap the nitro and brake at a constant speed to perform the floaty.I mastered the 360° floaty from RedNycto and looking forward for the punch floaty. Now you are here to give us a precise tutorial especially the punch floaty for me to study and master. Its all thanks to you.🎉
We need more youtubers like you who take a part of their time to give us tutorials like this. Thank you. Also if you can make a series of videos of how to race the in all locations with low top speed, accel , handling and nitro type of cars I and many others would really apreaciated in these hard times Asphalt United 😊!
The explanation was really good. Loud and clear and easy to understand. Bringing out such helpful videos will really help the players out. Great job brother keep it up
Very professional explanation of floaty and punch drift! Please make more videos on how to enter a corner while drifting and exiting the drift, or how to gain more Nitro without excessive drifting. Your way of explaining is really easy to understand and put into practice 🙏🏻
Amazing Video Bro! Even though I already know how to perform these techniques I watched the video till the end because it is so good. You just mention everything you have to know about these two techniques. Best Floaty Video I have ever seen! Keep it up bro, I absolutely love it!!!❤
Learnt this trick back when asphalt 9 was at its best. Made me win alot of mp races in my 2* Trion, managed to maintain speed really well around turns.
A few minor things: Sometimes you can 360 In The Direction of your turn and still make it work (especially for cars that are Very floaty). The brief nitro during a 360 before the floaty can be omitted if you are not used to it yet as it is a minor difference. In the 360 degree loop on Cairo map, some cars are so floaty that you can maintain high drift speed through the entire turn if you keep nitro punching. That's all I have to say, the video explained everything well already.
First Btw the little dash of nitro while doing a 360 floaty is still something hard for me, anyways this game is very laggy for me now so I can't play competitive anymore Also another short tip : In Nitro punch, make sure you don't immediately start doing a punch after starting to drift, give it a split second interval otherwise u will do an accidental 360 whilst trying to punch. that split second interval should get in your muscle memory for punching.
Amazing and informative video! ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 How about a next one video where you can teach us how to still prolong your air speed after landing from a jump?
so for my experience nitro punches are more harder to learn than floaties but nitro punches are more usable and versatile use generally like even with non floaties car I do punch drift it slightly works if I dont have enough to perfect nitro
Hey I’ve recently started playing ALU and want to use my controller and then I came across ur videos and wanted to request the following if u have the leeway(of course) : 1. Controller tips (was having difficulty to keep the car straight on tilt controls while breaking to generate nitro, I don’t know the name of the skill). 2. Any particular map and/or car and/or event for that particular skill to practice on. Eg u mentioned trion nemesis for 360 floaty on pudong rise(shanghai). 3. I usually rank in 3rd/4th bracket of any rank rewards so any practice drills if there are any. Thank you and I’ll be grateful if u could address any/all of the above requests.
My problem always lies in the punch, and also the times where i try to go for a 360 floaty and the game decides "your car feels like it needs an extra spin"
I’d like to get your feedback. Comment any suggestions you may have. ❤😊

A nice add on, avoid doing 360 floaty where bumps on the track because that's an easy way to overspin but just use punch drift.

Great Tutorial... Wish I could get someone to repeat this for TD.
Or just move to manual, doing floaties in td is harder but really what's the point of doing floaties if ur just using td?
Advanced floaty techniques:
1. 360 Floaty with Perfect Nitro
2. Slow 360 Floaty (3x Brake Button Tap)
You can include these in another video
Awesome suggestion, Will add this to the list.
Awesome 😎
Thanks 🤗
very well explained
Thank you superb please more videos like this tips and tricks❤
Homie cooked, so that we could have a feast
Nice tutorial bro!
thanks amough. now i kinda know how to do floaty, but i dont have trion :(
Cool vid, how abt u teach em things like nitro braking air speed retention and stuff since punching becomes much easier when ur used to nitro braking
In nitro punch de we need to do only one phase (1 time nitro then break ) as soon as we start drifting coz speed starts to reduce on 2nd phase
so for my experience
nitro punches are more harder to learn than floaties
but nitro punches are more usable and versatile use generally
like even with non floaties car I do punch drift it slightly works if I dont have enough to perfect nitro

My problem always lies in the punch, and also the times where i try to go for a 360 floaty and the game decides "your car feels like it needs an extra spin"
Just try to avoid doing 360s on an uneven surface or right before one.
must've been painful doing the no floaty drifting as an example lol
Haha, Yes!, I am so habitual of doing floats that It took me multiple attempts just to imitate what a normal drift would do. 😂
