Not at all funny. A horse kick really packs a punch and can truly injure or worse.
@@mstina7346 True. Though I never been kicked by a horse or any large hooves animals I know that if you were kicked it could cause paralyzation or death. The horse that kicked wasn’t hard enough to cause paralyzation or death but a nasty bruise Maybe a broken rib. I saw a video where a horse kicked a chicken because the chicken was attacking the horse and the chicken was fine because it wasn’t even a full kick out.

As a general rule, don't approach an animal from behind without letting them know you're there first - especially if you don't know the animal. Talk to them as you approach, preferably from the side, rather than head on or directly behind them. That guy was lucky that horse didn't kick him harder.
As a horse owner that's like should be basic knowledge. Whenever you go behind a horse you walk at their side pat them on their butt and talk. They are flight animals and it's their natural instinct to react. Their vision also can see to the side of them so they are practically blind in front and behind. Common sense for a horse owner. This man shouldn't be around them 🤦♀️
@@ravenshyra Yep, but it's surprising what some people do. Their blind spot is directly in front of them and directly behind them but I guess people who haven't worked with horses wouldn't know... although you'd think the "blind spot behind" would be a given but oh well.

Did the young man know which power tool his dad was using before scaring him and so badly that he fell through the floor?
The tool could have killed his father or seriously injured him. Not a good idea while someone is working on construction. There can be heavy tools, sharp objects etc. laying around him and a heavy hammer could have dropped right on top of him. His dad is lucky! Pranks can turn dangerous.

The guy kicked by the horse is really hurting, and that poor chicken……he had his/her wing bent out and was clearly limping afterwards. You never approach a horse from the rear, and especially don’t announce yourself after already standing behind them. You announce prior to arrival. That’s a lesson he never will forget. That kicked could have killed him. Where did that advice come from that people think raising your arms above your head helps you breathe easier? Since when do you see people in the hospital with their arms above their head?
I don't think it would help with broken ribs but my friend who has asthma raises her arms like that when she's having an attack & it helps.

Actually, it does. In hospital we have more effective measures to augment breathing but patients with life long asthma discover this for themselves.

Some of the natural startles are entertaining. But pranks are sometimes causes of injury. Not to be a kill-joy or anything.
I agree that horses can vary the strength of a kick. I once had a mare who “kicked” her foal and at first I was mortified, then realized she was teaching him to not stand behind the other horses becuz they can kick.
And, I also know a little boy who was sitting on a bale of hay in a barn aisle had his face kicked off because a horse coming through was spooked by the boy.
Just don’t like pranks anyway. It’s kind of a crude reason to get a laugh.
