Just another game thats deffo not a derby !!! Get real 31 miles between us !!! Thats not local rivalry 😮
No match will ever be a derby with that sort of distance between the two clubs, and Newcastle will always be the main rivals, but I imagine Boro are second in terms of dislike. Also, everything I have read said the clubs were separated by 23 miles, but there’s been a few people now say it’s more than 30 miles apart, so I’ll have to double check!
SAFC fan here i can tell you Boro are not our second most hated team. Mine personally is Coventry and Leeds before Boro and i bet a few agree.@Againsttherunofplayy
No sunderland fan ever gets chewed to bits when a boro game is coming up like we do when we have the mags. No where near the same. Your derby is hartlepool. You’re 32 miles away hahaha
Understandable the dislike towards Coventry after what happened back in the day! I think there certainly is some hatred from Boro towards Sunderland, but from what I’ve seen it’s started to become a slight bit fiercer over the last few years. Or at least that’s my view as someone who doesn’t support either team 😂😂
