Wow !! Haven't stopped singing this song since 3 days now......I was reading someone's daily devotional and she mentioned this song by Everett Sugg . I checked it out and found Donna's version. I am completely taken by shut in with God.
I pray that this Church won't give in to the New Age Contemporary Songs like most Churches have. What a shame that most of the young people growing up today will never hear any songs like this...songs that are anointed and any Christian could relate to.
A great singer in Donna Kelly sorely missed at FWC who has anointed the gospel world. Donna touches your heart and soul with her singing that even Angels stop everything and listen and be mesmerised and blessed and ring the Hallways with great shouts of Hallelujah to the Heavenly Father and ourLord Jesus Christ and Himself Crucified and to the Beautiful Sweet Prescence. I too love this song. My mom used to play and song this song. She would sing us to sleep. And now I am up listening to this song enjoying His presents in the Spirit. This where we get the power to overcome our flesh. And live in the Spirit.

@VJAqui I'm 73, and as a young child, I remember my late mother singing this song in church and around the house with the words you mentioned. As she sang, she'd have tears running down her face, and I remember asking her in my child's church whisper if she was sad, which she'd reassure me that she wasn't. It wasn't until I became an adult and had a relationship with God that I understood why she had been crying. This song and memory came to me this morning. I remembered the lyrics up through the verse that you mentioned. I came looking for the song, found this version and as you did, wondered why they'd changed the lyrics from the original version. For me, the old familiar hymns bring a sense of peace and comfort. They're like having my mom give me a hug, reassuring me that everything will work out. May God bless you and your day.
