Great reaction. This song debuted in 2018, but at that time we didn't know the official song title (it was seen on a set list as 'Tattoo') and Su-metal was performing it as a solo. At the LA Forum in October 2019 they launched the album so we finally found out the song is called 'Kagerou', but Su was also no longer performing it as a solo song - Moa and the chosen Avenger were there on stage with her and with this new choreo. All Kami Band intros are great, whether by East or West kamis, but yes Anthony Barone's gravity beat (I think that was what it was) in his solo really was something else.
sHe has been good at controlling his voice since she was 11 years old. and she is 25, almost 26 years old, his vocals are now much more badass. she even wrote his first lyrics this year entitled DIVINE ATTACK.
I always feel frustrated that my meager vocabulary cannot adequately express the wonder of SU-METAL. I look forward to your reactions to the trilogy of light.
I was lucky enough to have been at this gig and can’t 100% confirm it was every bit as excellent as you saw. Su is an unbelievably charismatic and talented presence on stage and this song is a real favourite of mine. I love this band so much & incredibly- they are still getting better. I saw them earlier this year too & there were even better! The addition of Momoko has given them a new lease of life. She & Moa work so well together.
LOVE this song and the sass that goes with it! For me, this was the first time I'd heard a grown up call and response. VERY good! Oh and the drummer is Anthony Barone. Definitely worth looking up.
This songs came before the "TRILOGY OF LIGHTS". Kagerou (Tattoo) or “Heat haze” is about someone who was at first suspicious about her partner, then begins burning up in anger by the end of the song. This song uses a ton of Japanese onomatopoeia, which is why it sounds fairly repetitive. The Band is the Western Kami Band who tour with Babymetal for their US 🇺🇸 Tour and mostly European Tour and equally good as the original Kami Band. Kagerou is a moody song by BABYMETAL with a tempo of 97 BPM. It can also be used double-time at 194 BPM.The track runs 3 minutes and 31 seconds long with a G♯/A♭ key and a major mode. It has high energy and is some what danceable with a time signature of 4 beats per bar. Western Kami Band:- Anthony Barone - drums (2019-present). Chris Kelly - guitar (2019-present). Right when you think BabyMetal has reached a climax , Su , the girls and the band wow you with a song like this . Babymetal continues to turn out energising music .

People who say this is not metal may mean it's not only metal. Yeah, it has metal too but lots of other genres aswell. Babymetal is a brilliant mix of idol-pop, rock, metal, ethnic, orient, dance and more. It's a closed mind/open mind situation.
Great reaction 😊 This is one of my absolute favorite songs and performances. Until I saw and heard it for the first time, I didn't know that there can be such thing like elegance in headbanging. But the girls showed it in absolute perfection. Su's voice is mindblowing as always and Moa's cute smirk while she's hyping up the crowd always gets me. 😍 And not to forget, Mr. Barone going insane on the drums. If there's any drummer like a machine gun, Anthony Barone should be called a gatling gun 😅
The thumbnail asks if this is their heaviest song, and the answer is no, not while “Sis Anger” still exists. As far as the Legend Metal Galaxy shows go, it was a two day concert with an incredible crowd at the Makuhari Messe arena. All three Avengers were present and switched out every few songs. The Avenger for this song at LMG is Kano Fujihira, the youngest of the three, and was the last of her songs until the finale.
@@mikepowers9486So it is. I hadn't watched the video yet when I commented, but after checking out the original video on a larger screen, it's obvious that what you're saying is true.
@@MarcioHuserFake news! On day two of Legend Metal Galaxy, Kano performs "Distortion," "Pa Pa Ya !!," "Karate," and "Kagerou," Momoko performs "BxMxC," "Syncopation," and "Headbanger," and Riho performs "Starlight," "Shine," and "Arkadia." Moreover, the original video that TYLR is watching doesn't credit any of the Avengers.
Easily my favourite Babymetal song. I like everything about it: the melody, the intro riff, the general intrumentation, the vocals and of course the choreography. How can you not fall for girls with ponytails who are headbanging. The confidence they display during the interlude is impressive. I agree with about everything you said. The only thing I do not like about this song is that it's off the setlist of the current tour.
⚡ 💕 / 🌡 🔥 A few corrections. This performance had the Western Kami Band, but it took place in Japan, not the USA. Momoko became an avenger (supporting dancer) in 2019. She became a full BABYMETAL member in April 2023. It sounded like you were trying to say that Su's Sakura Gakuin participation was before BABYMETAL began. Sakura Gakuin officially launched in April 2010. The first BABYMETAL song was recorded at the end of October 2010. At that time BABYMETAL were still a Sakura Gakuin sub-unit. Also "ad-lib" doesn't mean "backing vocals". It means dialog that is added spontaneously during a performance, that isn't part of the script.
This video is a compilation. You have both Riho and Momoko in here 😉 Ang this music is great. Like almost every single one from this album 😁 And the group all of them started at is Sakura Gakuin
Great reaction, thanks! Yes, the solos intro is insanely good here. Specially Anthony Barone's drum solo and that final blastbeat using his signature technique: gravity blast. I consider him one of my favorite drummers right now (and I'm picky). He's also an spectacle by himself in live performances. Su's vocals have been always so special, being able to cut through a wall of sound. After all, it was the reason why Koba started it all. And yes, at her 22 her vocals were already so trained and polished to sound like this. She only has gotten better and better over the years. Finally, let me disagree a little (and partially) about the "metal" here. I consider this song as hard rock. It was the reason why I barely noticed it when it was released (not very fan of hard rock). And it wasn't until I watched the "Legend Metal Galaxy" performance that the song started to grow on me, primarily because of the solos intro (which are not in the studio version, as usual). Listening to it more times I get that the guitars tuning and the drums are more in the metal field (being a mix of genres, as usual). But to me, the song still has that hard rock feel. Don't get me wrong, now it's one of my favorites from the Metal Galaxy album. You are in an interesting point of the album. If you enjoyed this dark side... wait until you listen to the Trilogy of Lights next. 😁 🤘🦊
This one is in my top 10, the vibe is just so good man, immaculate! It's like that song you play when it's raining in the afternoon or on a sunday, it's just perfect! 🦊🤘🏼
Su's vocal control is insane, but there are others like Simone Simone from Epica or Floor Jansen from Nightwish. I do wonder if Su has met Floor as Floor's husband is the drummer for Sabaton and they have a colab with the lead singer from them as well.
At least that reactor gave an honest opinion. This is what counts. 🙂👍🏻 As a band it is absolutely impossible to be everyone's cup of tea, even for these three goddesses.

There are two words to describe super stable rock solid brilliant vocals on the highest level. They are Suzuka Nakamoto .
