Mix a small amount of cyclamen in with the hot purple to create a cyber purple. Also if you like the paler colours, mix the dye with conditioner until you find the wanted colour and slather your hair in it. Please also remember with most colours you don't have to bleach before hand every time, yeah if your going from green to pink then yes but similar colours like pink and purple depending on the opacity you won't need the extra damage. Also if you want to pull a colour out your hair use anti dandruff shampoo and leave it in. Hot water when washing also strips out the colour faster so better to wash your hair in cooler water for a longer lasting result :) I am trained in hairdressing and have been ever colour so if you ever want advice feel free to give me a shout :)
+DiXxie rhiannonferguson I've been every colour too. I've been dying it for a decade now and unfortunately my hair is really stubborn - I can leave a dye in for an hour and it still barely lasts a week depending on the brand of dye. I bleach it every other time I dye if I'm keeping the same colour, but when I'm swapping, I have to bleach it because using anti dandruff doesn't fade it enough. I've had a few times where I've just tried to dye over the other colour after using anti-dandruff shampoo and it's affected how the new colour's come out in a bad way. Also my hair is naturally mousey brown, which never takes dye without bleaching first... it's really stubborn! But thanks, I knew all of that already except mixing Cyclamen with Hot Purple... I don't think I'll try it though cos I've been trying to keep purple hair using Crazy Color for months and it just turns pale blue within days.
@@Terr0rByte1 This is what I do as well. Use just a cheap anti dandruff shampoo to really fade my hair colour. It really helps to pull the colour out. Just keep using it on every wash til it's faded enough to bleach my roots and then do a bleach bath to get rid of any other old colour. I only use a 30 vol bleach.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, I was confused between the lavender and the hot purple but your video helped me so much to make a decision. Thank you very much ❤
I kinda feel the same about it in hindsight - I liked that I got various shades of blue and some silvery bits as it faded, cos it was interesting, but after using it a few times, I was basically just blue with a hint of purple at the start! I'm still on a mission to find a really good purple dye that sticks!
+Terr0rByte1 Im gonna use the hot purple tomorrow to achieve a very light purple hair and counteract brassy tones on my blonde hair hehe let's see how that goes ! :-)
You're such an engaging speaker; you made this so easy to watch, thank you! Good to get some honest feedback about the colours- i always find them too pink so this is good to know as i JUST bought the lavender! Going to get both of them and try what you tried. galaxy hair sounds ace! :)

I used to use the crazy colour Fire which I loved, I never used to bleach my hair to white blonde first with that 1 as having the brassy orange tones stopped it from looking too neon. I am now in the process of lifting out a red faded red box dye & am at that pumpkin orange with light peach ombre effect. I ordered the crazy colour lavender today so will be bleaching my hair as light as possible before putting that on, after seeing your results I'm excited to try it out. Your video was really helpful, thanks 😃
+Leanne Furley I'm glad you enjoyed the video! That's cool that you didn't need to use bleach to get a good result with the Fire dye, but yeah, you'll definitely need it for Lavender... the light pinks and purples really don't stick very well! I hope it goes well for you!
Did hot purple stained anyone’s bleached hair when they had a tiny drop of it and mix it with loads of hair conditioner and pink??im thinking of dying my hair rose gold. And did it turn green eventually? I had horrible experience with colorista staining my hair green, a very vibrant green and I have black hair so it takes me a while to achieve blonde. So I just want to make sure. Your video is so informative! Thanks x
Do you apply color directly or mix it with conditioner and then apply? How do you wash your hair right after you apply the color? Do you use just water and dry it? or shampoo too? Thanks a ton.. It's actually my first time, that's why so many questions :p
Hello! Sorry for my bad English! Your hair are great in any colour! I want to dye my hair in hot purple... I know that after some washes it became blue but I don't care! I would like to know if the blue rinse out completely after some washes and my hair come back to their original colour.
Hi! Your English isn't bad! Thank you :-) From my experience, after the Hot Purple turned blue, I kept it for a month and it was still blue, although very faded, with bits of pastel blue and silver in it. It didn't completely disappear, although if you have darker hair, it will definitely disappear faster.
So, I used a Schwarzkopf Live XXL Mystic Violet on my hair, and the purple was there for a while (its so bad for your hair, I know, and as my hair was ombre'd before, it took 2 rounds of the dye to get it purple!!) Anyway, so its about 2 months on, and its faded to a gingery red with some pinky purple hues, as the natural red tones in my hair seem to come through quite a lot when I dye it purple or a plum colour. I was actually thinking of getting one of the purples, and mixing it with some of the capri blue (i think thats what its called) and putting that on, to bring it back to purple over the current colour i have. I dont particularly want to go to my hairdresser to get it dyed again, and the 2 rounds of the Live XXL have damaged it a lot. I was wondering if i should try it, and what kind of purple i should get? :')
+justholdownhere In my experience, going to a hairdresser to get unnatural colours doesn't really work very well. I only did it once, and not only did it not come out the right colour, it lasted about three days and I paid loads for it. If your hair is a natural red or darker brown, it's a good idea to bleach it before you dye it. If not, the dye won't be able to grip as powerfully because it's being diluted by your natural colour, especially red - that would show through quite easily. You can buy Crazy Color bleach that's cheap and do it at home - it works just fine. But if you don't wanna bleach, then yes - mixing colours may help the purple to stay. I would recommend using Hot Purple, and mixing it with something like Aubergine or Bordeaux - in my experience, the Crazy Color purples fade to blue as it is, so if you mix it with Capri Blue, it'll just go blue faster. I think if you do mostly Hot Purple and then add around a quarter of a dark red, it'll stay more of a purple colour longer, and because there's dark red in there, that might mute your natural colour a little and allow it to come through as more of a plum colour than red. However, the fact that your colour's coming through after two months isn't a surprise really - these types of dyes are only meant to last a few weeks anyway, so the fact that you're getting over a month out of them is crazy anyway! Sorry I wrote such a massive essay, hope it helps >_
+Terr0rByte1 thank you so much! I was hoping to add the blue to combat the red and keep the purple longer, there's lots of places around where I live that sell crazy colour so I'll go down there and try what you said :) my hair is already in pretty bad condition from previous bleaching and other colours ive been, so im not going to bleach it. I just want to make the purple last longer! Thank you so much for your help :')
Okay cool! I think if mixing it with a dark red doesn't work, then maybe try a blue - you never know, everyone's hair is different! Whatever you decide, I hope it comes out great :-D
if i want to have hot purple more pastel, should i leave it on my head for a shorter time or mix it with hair balsam?? i think that the second way i can invest more dye but idk u tell me
When I used hot purple, it wasn’t even purple when I first put it in it was bright blue? And fades to a aqua colour also mine took to my hair so much it was quite dark at first
Yeah, everyone's hair is different and some colours will work better than others. Hot purple went on purple for me to start with, but as soon as I washed it once, it became blue. I personally feel like the Crazy Color purples aren't the best. It may be better to try another brand.
So my hair is an ash blue, can't get more of the color out. I want pastel purple. What should I do? If I put pink or purple over it it just gets to dark. Because it's already to dark help
@@nicaduhh3224 then there's not really anything else you can do. Blue is notoriously the hardest colour to remove from hair, so what bleach doesn't lift won't really come out any other way. Pastel dyes won't go over it. All you can do is dye darker/super bright colours over it and wait for it to fade with time. I've successfully dyed bright pink over leftover blue, but it was very bright, not pastel.
i’m blonde naturally and i wanna have purple highlights without bleaching them but i want it to leave my hair completely in a month. should i get something from crazy color?
Well if you're naturally blonde, then you won't need to bleach for it to show up at all, luckily! The only thing is that I'd say Crazy Color tends to last over a month, since it's semi-permanent, so you'd have to bleach/dye it out if you wanted it gone by then. I'd recommend looking at dyes that specify that they're temporary, and are designed to wash out more easily.
I've just got this from Superdrug today. I'm going the same green with (hopefully) the purple on the top. I usually use Directions (which the fluorescent green is) but I'm gonna try this purple cuz it spoke it me on the shelf lol.
I really hope it works for you! I switched to Directions years ago, I actually prefer it to Crazy Color! I've yet to try their purple shades though - think I'm gonna do that in a few months.
Yep, I wash it with cold water and conditioner definitely locks in colour. I tend to wash it every couple of days, with conditioner every time, but only shampoo every other time, cos shampoo does fade the colour. If you have naturally greasier hair, you might wanna shampoo more often, but thankfully I can get away with that :P
Out of those two, Hot Purple, but neither of them worked particularly well on my hair. Out of all the Crazy Color I've used, Lime Twist was definitely the best sticker. It faded the least out of them all and had the most staying power for sure!
There's this hair dye I used a long time ago. It was called splat. My mom put pink streaks in my hair... and it was pink. Like, really really really bright pink. It actually faded into a cotton candy pink and it stayed in my hair for over TWO YEARS. I dyed it TWICE and you could STILL see a small hint of pink in my hair.
I used Splat the first time I dip-dyed my hair and I was so pleased. the dye was aqua blue but whatever way it reacted with the blonde it made it turn a greenish colour. it looked great none the less. this time I dyed my hair I used the Splat lightening kit and I was also pleased with that. I would recommend Splat to absolutely anybody and it's so cheap too!
Lavender is so pale that it doesn't do much on its own. If you want it to be pastel but last, you'd have to add a small amount of hot purple, I'd guess making up a mix of 3/4 lavender and 1/4 hot purple. That's just my guess though, because purple never really stuck in my hair, and the hot purple just turned blue for me. Everyone's hair is different. I'd recommend trying a small amount of hot purple mixed in with lavender, and if it doesn't do much, you can try again and add a bit more.
That's the risk you take with hair dye. I didn't like how some of them faded which is why I don't use them, and everyone's hair takes different colours differently anyway. I find that blue looks great at first but then fades really patchy in a bad way, whereas green and pink just go pastel in a nice way, but of course, that's my hair - everyone's different. Unfortunately the only way you can judge is by trying it once, although what you can do is dye a small piece of hair, underneath the back if you can so that it's hidden if it looks bad, and see how that fades, cos that'll give you an idea without committing to dying your whole head first.
It probably won't take full effect, but it will be somewhat purple. I really can't guarantee anything because as I said in the video, Hot Purple didn't work properly on mine, and it was bleach blonde, so I have no idea if it would work on darker colours properly. It might just give your hair a purple hue rather than go the full shade.
Terr0rByte1 Well, after seeing your comment I tried it just to see (its temporary anyway and ofc will wash out) and it went perfectly! My mum has bleach blonde hair and it worked nearly as well as hers! Just slightly darker of course lol. Have a nice night :)
Ah awesome! Some people's hair takes certain colours better than others, and I know my hair doesn't do purple well, so I wasn't sure how it would work on others, so I'm really glad it worked out for you :-)
I know its late but how'd that go for u? I want to try either pinkissimo or violet/hot purple. Right now I have light orange hair..I used coral red but its pastel orange 😪 want something vibrant now. plz help.
+Taryn Hope I don't think I'll try Lilac cos that's in the blue range, and I've already been blue, on top of a lot of the purple dyes turning blue when they fade. I might try Violette to see if that stays more purple :-)
Every 3 days, with cool water and plenty of conditioner! The less you wash it, the longer the dye will stay. Another tactic is to leave the shampoo out every other wash, so do shampoo and conditioner one time, then the next time use just conditioner, and alternate it. Unless you have really greasy hair, it's not actually a bad thing to only give it a full wash once/twice a week. If anything, your hair will be more healthy because its natural oils aren't constantly being stripped away.
+Deborah Chola That's my experience too - I'm actually gonna film a summary video of all the Crazy Color dyes I've used and my final verdict on each one, and yeah, the Violet and Hot Purple are definitely more blue than purple sadly. They gave me purple for a few days, then a month of blue!
That's strange, perhaps the site's just bugged. I literally ordered something the other day and it was fine - maybe leave it til tomorrow and see if it's fixed then!
Usually once every couple of days to make sure it stays healthy be keeping its natural oils. I don't always shampoo it either, sometimes just conditioner will help it stay moisturised without stripping out dye :-)
Thanks for these dyed videos~ I really want to dye my hair blue, purple and pink but have but struggling to decide what dye to go for, I've used crazy colour before but ages ago and I think I might try it again ( for the blue and purple, got some dye left for pink as you can see from my dp) :'3
+Vocalief I'm glad you enjoyed the videos! The blue dyes tend to last quite long. The purples stay for about a week and then turn blue, so you might end up with more blue than you originally thought for once it fades a little. The pink dyes in my experience don't last very well, that's just my experience - your hair looks really nice in your picture, and if you've had success with the pink shades, that that's great! Just remember to make sure you separate the sections of the hair you want to dye different colours, cos if you accidentally get blue on a pink bit, it'll probably wipe out the pink haha! I hope it goes well for you :-)
I might add a bit more pink to the purple to make it not go to blue as fast? The pink I used is a different brand but thanks :3 Yeah, I'll be super careful ^-^
@@Vocalief Hi! This question comes two years after your comment but do you remember if mixing hot purple with pinkissimo work well in preventing it from fading into blue? I had the exact same idea but I haven't bought the colors yet. Cheers!
Yeah, heat opens up your hair follicles so the colour can run out more easily. Using cold water helps keep the follicles closed and keep the dye in better.
+Gabrielle I'm afraid I haven't used Lilac, but judging by the colour swatch and the colour of the dye on the website, I'd guess it would be a similar time to Hot Purple, which is a few weeks. I hope you have success with it if you try it!
I believe Lilac is meant to be more blue than purple. As long as you like it, it's all good! I'm noticing that the purple's I've tried tend to go blue pretty quickly. I may try Violette and see if that stays purple for longer. Good job I like blue too :-P
I guess your hair might be more receptive to the blue tones in it. I got that with a different brand's bright orange - it went green on me for some reason!
If it's still not light enough after several bleaches, there not really anything else you can do, especially because beyond that point, you're going to damage your hair badly. What you could try is using a white toner dye, which is semi permanent, but doesn't have bleach in, so it'll at least be gentle on your hair, and you can also buy toner shampoos, though these will only really affect your hair if it's already blonde.
+Terr0rByte1 did you dilluted the lavender or did you just used the diy straight on you hair its beautifull color i wanna do it today :-) !! still watching your vids :-D
Lisa Braithwaite I never diluted any of them, just used them straight on my hair! The Lavender doesn't last very long - I'd recommend leaving the dye on for at least half an hour before washing it off, if not more :-)
I'm trying to picture that... I wouldn't do it at this point cos I'm trying to grow my hair to see what that looks like for the first time in forever, but I think in theory a Mohawk could look good! I used to be quite goth/punk when I was younger, I can imagine having a Mohawk then :p
+Caitlin Elizabeth SFX I'm actually making another video soon where I talk about all of the Crazy Color dyes I've used and any drawbacks I hadn't discovered in the previous videos, and I'm definitely mentioning that the purples do not last and turn blue very fast. I think I lucked out with the first application of Hot Purple, cos every one I've done since then has turned blue in a couple of days. Crazy Color just aren't good at purple - I'm determined to find a brand that is though, and when I do, I'll be sure to tell y'all! ^_^
Terr0rByte1 ok but ur hair pigment is different cuz when i bleached my hair twice my hair was still golden ! so can i try hot purple on the bleached hair ?
@@asmamarwa2787 If it's golden after that much bleach, it will still take an effect, though not as bright as the bottle. It'll probably still turn purple though, so I think it's worth a try. I can't promise how bright it'll be or how long it'll last, but it will do something!

+Madalyn Dawn Just looked it up, that looks interesting! Never heard of it. It must be bloody good if it survived multiple dye-overs! :-p
Terr0rByte1 It is... unlucky for me it stayed for picture day at school
Madalyn Dawn Ooooops... at least you got a memorable picture ;)
+Terr0rByte1 true xD
I used Splat the first time I dip-dyed my hair and I was so pleased. the dye was aqua blue but whatever way it reacted with the blonde it made it turn a greenish colour. it looked great none the less. this time I dyed my hair I used the Splat lightening kit and I was also pleased with that. I would recommend Splat to absolutely anybody and it's so cheap too!
hot purple washes out rlly rlly fast
Yeah it turned blue after about two days for me :(
yeaa its bad cause some of their colors really stays in hear like capri blue wish purple was like that
Same! Purple is my fave colour and I've never been able to get it to stick in my hair :-(
hahaha yea sadly same
Blushiebo thank god because my hair is fucking blue now not HOT PURPLE and I wanna cry
Did someone mixed lavander and a little hot purple cause i wannted to do it but im scared ...?Any help?
Lavender is so pale that it doesn't do much on its own. If you want it to be pastel but last, you'd have to add a small amount of hot purple, I'd guess making up a mix of 3/4 lavender and 1/4 hot purple. That's just my guess though, because purple never really stuck in my hair, and the hot purple just turned blue for me. Everyone's hair is different. I'd recommend trying a small amount of hot purple mixed in with lavender, and if it doesn't do much, you can try again and add a bit more.
@@Terr0rByte1 thanks, but i decieded to stay pink so i bought pinkissimo to try it,hope it goes well
My biggest worry is what it might fade to, a little terrified to do it in case it stains weird
Would hot purple work on lightish brown hair?
It probably won't take full effect, but it will be somewhat purple. I really can't guarantee anything because as I said in the video, Hot Purple didn't work properly on mine, and it was bleach blonde, so I have no idea if it would work on darker colours properly. It might just give your hair a purple hue rather than go the full shade.
Terr0rByte1
Well, after seeing your comment I tried it just to see (its temporary anyway and ofc will wash out) and it went perfectly! My mum has bleach blonde hair and it worked nearly as well as hers! Just slightly darker of course lol. Have a nice night :)
Ah awesome! Some people's hair takes certain colours better than others, and I know my hair doesn't do purple well, so I wasn't sure how it would work on others, so I'm really glad it worked out for you :-)
Terr0rByte1
Thanks! :))
I'm trying pinkissimo tonight!
I know its late but how'd that go for u? I want to try either pinkissimo or violet/hot purple. Right now I have light orange hair..I used coral red but its pastel orange 😪 want something vibrant now. plz help.
Oh my, its gorgeous, I would definitely use Hot Purple are you ever going to try Lilac?
+Taryn Hope I don't think I'll try Lilac cos that's in the blue range, and I've already been blue, on top of a lot of the purple dyes turning blue when they fade. I might try Violette to see if that stays more purple :-)
Ok
How often did you wash your hair?
Every 3 days, with cool water and plenty of conditioner! The less you wash it, the longer the dye will stay. Another tactic is to leave the shampoo out every other wash, so do shampoo and conditioner one time, then the next time use just conditioner, and alternate it. Unless you have really greasy hair, it's not actually a bad thing to only give it a full wash once/twice a week. If anything, your hair will be more healthy because its natural oils aren't constantly being stripped away.
I found crazy colour violet more on the blue side rather the purple side of things. ☺️
Thanks 😘😘😘😘 that is my color too love it 😘😘😘😘
dude check out the crazy color website. its not allowing me to add stuff to my basket! they r $4 a bottle. i NEED this to work!
That's strange, perhaps the site's just bugged. I literally ordered something the other day and it was fine - maybe leave it til tomorrow and see if it's fixed then!
how often do you wash your hair?
Usually once every couple of days to make sure it stays healthy be keeping its natural oils. I don't always shampoo it either, sometimes just conditioner will help it stay moisturised without stripping out dye :-)
Did u add conditioner to the dye?
+Roxana Guerrero I didn't, that would dilute it and make it paler :-)
Cheers!
Apparently crazy colour say to wash out with the coldest water you can stand...
Yeah, heat opens up your hair follicles so the colour can run out more easily. Using cold water helps keep the follicles closed and keep the dye in better.
Hi did you put it on dry hair
Yes, I usually put mine on dry hair, but you can also apply it to wet hair too! Whatever you prefer works just the same.
how long would lilac alone last
+Gabrielle I'm afraid I haven't used Lilac, but judging by the colour swatch and the colour of the dye on the website, I'd guess it would be a similar time to Hot Purple, which is a few weeks. I hope you have success with it if you try it!
+Terr0rByte1 I just used lilac now. it looks like a baby blue but its still wet so idk
I believe Lilac is meant to be more blue than purple. As long as you like it, it's all good! I'm noticing that the purple's I've tried tend to go blue pretty quickly. I may try Violette and see if that stays purple for longer. Good job I like blue too :-P
Wait, the color you have in this video isn't the result?
great video
Try directions it sticks v well
I've been using Directions for years and I don't find it sticks much better than Crazy Color on me :-(
thank you so much Idk if u remember me but ty
Viiolette came out electric blue on me.
I guess your hair might be more receptive to the blue tones in it. I got that with a different brand's bright orange - it went green on me for some reason!
I cannot get my hair light enough
If it's still not light enough after several bleaches, there not really anything else you can do, especially because beyond that point, you're going to damage your hair badly. What you could try is using a white toner dye, which is semi permanent, but doesn't have bleach in, so it'll at least be gentle on your hair, and you can also buy toner shampoos, though these will only really affect your hair if it's already blonde.
still love your vids !!!
+Lisa Braithwaite Thank you!
+Terr0rByte1 did you dilluted the lavender or did you just used the diy straight on you hair its beautifull color i wanna do it today :-) !! still watching your vids :-D
Lisa Braithwaite I never diluted any of them, just used them straight on my hair! The Lavender doesn't last very long - I'd recommend leaving the dye on for at least half an hour before washing it off, if not more :-)
i think you should rock a short mohawk bytheway:)
I'm trying to picture that... I wouldn't do it at this point cos I'm trying to grow my hair to see what that looks like for the first time in forever, but I think in theory a Mohawk could look good! I used to be quite goth/punk when I was younger, I can imagine having a Mohawk then :p
iim punK as FUK. growwing my mohawk out for 7 yearS! anyway good luck with uRS.:)
I used hot purple and I ended up with purple roots and then blue......it was dyed over blonde so guess blue just wants to take over my life ahha fml
Thank you!! I've always wanted to try purple but somehow always ended up blue ahah XD
You're so funny, I want to be your friend!!!
Hehe thank you~
ur hair was bleached before colour
Yes, I always bleach before colour as it helps the colour be brighter and more accurate to the intended shade.
I can't promise how bright it'll be or how long it'll last, but it will do something!
although. being punK or Goth is not about the style. Keepthat in mind. its a lifestyle and an idea and outlook.
COLOR..... you Color your hair, not dye
