@Moysauce22 It is only after the major success of the film and in particular the song, that the song title was changed to 'Beauty and the Beast' in order to further publicise the film. Originally when Howard Ashman and Alan Menken wrote the piece the song was called 'Tale As Old As Time' and has only since become more recognisable as Beauty and the Beast due to its popularity.
This is amazing! I have a Concert for School and I was asked to play something from Beauty and the Beast to promote our Musical, which is Beauty and the Beast :)
@Evei421 It is referred to as "Beauty and The Beast" in every song book out now so although it may have originally been called that, it is "beauty and the beast"
@Moysauce22 I think you'll find the actual song title is 'Tale as Old As Time' not Beauty and the Beast, thats the film and musical name, not the actual song that Mrs. Potts sings.
The is absolutely fantastic! I just cannot seem to find a free version of this song... They have them all over online to pay for but my mom isn't too keen on the whole idea of paying online. But my god this sounds beautiful:D
Mr. Sugawa is one of the best sax. players out there... i like the fact that hes really good at playing Classical style. Its insprireing to see good role-model that specializes in the Classical fields for a Saxophone
the sax player's vibroto is a little too much. the sound is good yet i believe that form i am hearing, the mouth piece is metal. metal MP on an alto doesnt fit so well, although ofcourse it is all about taste...
I personally don't like this guy's classical style. He has too many elements of jazz in his playing (pitch bends, added grace notes, etc) to make this a truly classical performance. I too, though, loved "Be Our Guest"...the altissimo G was really clear.
Nobuya Sugawa - the bestest saxophone player in Japan.
This guy is the most amazing saxophone player I've ever heard. That was beautiful.
i have watched this video at least 20 times.. and Sugawa-san never fails to amaze me till this point. His vibrato is very well supported.. fantastic!!
Engraçado é que o sax tocado no Erudito se assemelha muito ao som do violino.
Hilker Ferreira de Almeida
Goiatuba-GO.
Oh! é tão lindo! :D
um arranjo diferente para piano e saxofone ,Parabéns!

A man playing Csardas is Yasuto Tanaka.
He Plays baritone saxophone in the saxophone quartet in which Nobuya Sugawa plays soprano saxophone.
oh my goodness Nobuya Sugawa can do anything!
I wish I spoke japanese so I could take lessons from him.
Thanks to the uploader.
Anybody know how to find this arrangement? Or at least the piano part?
OMG I love playing this song I haven't played it in SOO long I think I want to go and play it now.
That's so modern Classical - I like that.

The saxophone was awesome!

Simplesmente perfeito, muito bom!
Hey It's 'Tale As Old As Time' from the Disney film Beauty and the Beast. Its by Alan Menken if memory serves well lol.
I can’t tell if this is classical or jazz because he has a rich dark tone but also he scoops and plays in a jazzy style
What a great video. Thanks for the love you put into it! Keep it up :)
The master himself, Nobuya Sugawa
Nobuya sugawa's set up is the YAS875G (not EXG) + harrison lig(gold plate)+ s90/170 + Vandoren 3.5
@Evei421 Every song book has it titled as "Beauty and the Beast" as well as every program and CD I've seen
Very nicely done. I would also like to have this arrangement. Where can one obtain it?
does anyone know where to get this concerto piece?
Judging from the recordings he's done, and his tone, I would bet it's Selmer C* mouthpiece on 3 1/2 reed strength. Probably a Vandoren or Hemke reed.
Very very nice I have only to say wow.
@Evei421 It is not "Tale As Old As Time"... it is "Beauty and the Beast" from the film Beauty and the Beast...
you should hear this guy on his "Fuzzy Bird" CD, and I really don't think his intention was to play those songs classically.
The is absolutely fantastic! I just cannot seem to find a free version of this song... They have them all over online to pay for but my mom isn't too keen on the whole idea of paying online. But my god this sounds beautiful:D
omg, he plays perfect.
im playing saxophone, but i`m not on this level :P
Anybody know how to find this arrangement? It's very important....
I think it's a Selmer S90 Mouthpiece and a Rico Grand Concert Reed, most likely 3.5 Strength
SELMER S90 170
二曲目はひとりぼっちの晩餐会ですね♪
i think it's "be our guest" from Beauty and the Beast
I am referring to the first section of the song, afterwards it changes into Be Our Guest
IT SOUNDS LIKE A VIOLIN. :D
I have received information that Mr. Sugawa plays on a S90 170 with 3 1/2 reeds.

may i know where can get the score thank u so much
What are the piano accompany sheets?
That gliss was pretty epic.
yes, it was taken in HK
Oh and also the name of the cover by Celine Dion and Peablo Bryson
holy cow nice glissando near the end!!
So beautiful
This is amazing!
This guy is great. Anybody know where I can get this arrangement as well?
須川さんですか?
Sugawa-san is a famous sax player. His excellent tone quality has no big relationship with what mouthpiece and/or reed. Practice more mate !
WOW
wow
ich bekomm gänsehaut :)
I am very sure it wasn't a metal mpc.
YES!
how to find this pieceeeee!
Just a little bit
You can do this too if you workhard

なかじまけい 動画自体の音質じゃないですかねー...
this guy have a saxo spirit just like my idol KENNY G
