I went on holiday last Summer to Toronto from London and upon entering, it was really straightforward and for most part hassle free for one of the busiest airports in North America that handles an insane amount of visitors. I got in, did what I needed to do and next thing you know, I had cleared baggage and arrivals and was then promptly shuttled off to the hotel which was one of the Marriots next to the airport. But then throughout the course of my time in Toronto, it was how I got to Downtown Toronto using the Union Pearson Express almost everyday. I swear, the airport became my train station, cafe, restaurant, playground, mini shopping mall and place to explore all in one. So I know this airport very well and it now feels a part of me. Just like my local shopping mall, cafe etc. I loved Toronto and I can't wait to get back. Thank you.
Absolutely crappy airport. What I find hilarious is the length of time it takes someone to get from their plane to immigration. It's like the people who designed all this were trying to make you think this is a vast airport when it clearly isn't. You walk and walk and walk , it's like a stress test . And departing isn't much better with the very limited selection of duty free stores or places to eat
This airport is making customers zig-zag through a massive customs line-up for nothing. They could easily move the custom card inspector to the beginning of the line, instead of right up near the custom officer desks and check through many travelers. Purposely making you wait an extra 40 minutes to 1 hour after a full day of travelling. Horrible..... starting to hate travelling, that's what they probably want to happen.
