The others that left are huge deals in China, so they have successful solo careers. As it relates to chris prior to his legal troubles, success was huge for him as well. The greatest thing about exo is that individually, they can carry their own.
My bias is Baekhyun, if you haven’t guessed. He has my favorite vocal tone and I like his genre/song choices as a soloist. His personality resonates with me. He doesn’t take things seriously, unless they’re serious, and jokes around a lot. He treats the fans like friends, including addressing them in casual speech, which is no small thing. He’s basically me but talented, young, good looking, and rich. (But I’m better at sitting still.) He’d be a great study subject for looking at transition from chest to falsetto (or however you’d phrase it). Doing it seamlessly is one of the things he’s best known for, along with how well he conveys emotion. (And the high notes/belting, of course.) Even if you don’t react, you might take a look at the ‘Love Again’ live performance mv-it’s a quiet song, and one of my very favorites. I’ve seen people who don’t have a technical knowledge of music know they’re hearing something not everyone can do at the end.) Thank you for coming to my Baek talk. I love your Baek talk Mochi! 🥰😁 His was the first voice I picked out and made note of. Then I was drawn to him for his aura on stage. Light is the ultimate superpower for Baek, he literally lights up the whole stadium with that smile and he so clearly adores the fans. And of course his humour. But I love what you said about him not taking things seriously unless they are serious. Those rare moments when he cries or is being candid about his struggles and his genuine, nurturing care of the people he loves are what made him my ultimate. I just really admire his grounded attitude and maturity that runs underneath the beagle energy and genius idol stage persona. He's reliable. Every time I discover a new bias in kpop and become obsessed, I will eventually get back to Baekhyun and realize that no matter how many artists I add to my bias list, he is still number one.

For your question about bias, i have a fix ultimate bias since the beginning and that is D.O. and no one can replace him And for bias? I think it would be Chen And the others are my bias wrecker. If i have to rank my favourite members based on the songs that i like my top 5 would be like this : (note : i am an accoustic and ballad lover, and like RnB too so this is mostlt from my personal preference of music) 1. CHEN (especially all his ballad-pop song.. every song from all his 3 album are on my daily playlist) 3. My ult is D.O. hands down but I'm wrecked by all 😂😂 I do love them all equally though. 15:58 As Chen was recording the mv for his song Beautiful Goodbye, he chose to do the whole mv live. Reason behind that was that he wanted to express the emotions of the song real time so we can enjoy it even better. That man is too generous, also when exo was recording their song "Damage," (grom their tempo album) Chen casually walks into the studio, warming up his voice in a playful way and unbeknownst to him the producer was recording and caught one of the best unitententional intros to a song ever 😂 Chen and the rest were surprised & impressed that it was kept in the song. It was a simple vocalization but it ended up fitting so well & brought more life to the song.
I feel that I think its pretty ok to like all of them the same, I do think we can connect to a certain individual more than others without really liking them more than others, like brothers lol
The usual schedule is I try to listen to as many groups as possible and I revisit all the groups that I have listened to as well. Tuesdays and Thursdays are boy groups Wednesdays and Fridays are girl groups. Every month I have one week club where I try to go through about 18 songs, a funny moments and also a guide to get to know a group
A month is not enough for EXO. I bet you become more and more curious about them. You should give them more content in the future. My bias are Chanyeol, D.O, Baekhyun, Chen, and all of them. It's so hard to pick one bias in EXO.
So far the highest male voice I've heard is Dimash. He went 7th octave in a live performance. My ult bias in EXO is D.O. I love his vocal tone and he's such an amazing actor. Next would be Kai because his voice is unique and smooth like honey.
I fell in love with EXO because of their performance, it was Kai who drew me in and has held me since, although I love them all. Vocally, Chanyeol and Kai were the first I could hear individually, I love the warmth they both have in their voices, but again they are all amazingly beautiful vocalists. I think bias is hard as some people then assume you don't like the others or think them less worthy when this is not the case. There is just something that touches you more, then you develop are closer link, but it doesn't make them better. Kai drew me in for his performance and dance, then I loved his vocals, then I loved his character, although now I think it is his character I rate most highly. There are tracks that draw you to one person, then the next track you notice another, so you also develop mini biases for individual tracks, for example Chen in Drop That or Baekhyun in El Dorado are often mentioned. The same goes for performance, for example I am biased towards Kai, but Tempo belongs to Sehun, despite Kai's crop top! For me, the bias holds, but there is a fluidity and admiration for all the members, just like Kai is the Centre, but they all take the Centre and they all shine. EXO as we see now, is a group of nine equally super talented, wonderful young men.
I guess you could say that your bias is EXO lol I think that's totally fair, I have had such a hard time choosing one. Other groups I was like or GD or Oh Dami! Or Oh Jonghyun. EXO is a different beast

One additional note: It’s hard to say, but I also sometimes wonder if the Exo members would change anything, looking back on their careers. I think to some extent, everyone gets into the industry for the fame and fortune but to be honest, with Exo more-so than any other artists I’ve seen, the genuine love for music really shines through. You see evidence of that in the clips where they are singing on the bus, or while taking a walk, getting their hair done etc. It is constant and really baked into their DNA, so I think as long as they get to keep doing the part that makes them happy- the making music part, there’s not a whole lot to regret. They are a bit old-fashioned in a lot of ways. Two of their members have never had social media, you hardly see them following trends and their album promotions have been limited, sometimes forgone (to our dismay), but they bring quality over quantity and deliver 200%+ on the occasions where we do see them promoting or performing. Their international exposure has been hindered by circumstance (military enlistment hiatus for the past 5 years) and a company that intentionally limits them, but they are rather content and only hungry to repay the love and fierce loyalty the fans have shown them all these years. Thus their current group success is only a fraction of what it could be if they were properly promoted and so many opportunities weren’t withheld from them. But then again… there’s a degree of compromise, sometimes bordering on pandering, that groups often have to do in order to appeal to Western audiences, and I’m thankful that Exo has achieved so much organic global success without ever having to change their identities and despite never having promoted outside of Korea, Japan and SEA. I’m not sure what you may have heard about them, but Exo members have a solid reputation for being some of the kindest and most down-to-earth individuals in the kpop industry. All manner of staff who have worked with them have nothing but wonderful things to say. Even amongst the former members, there is only one actual problematic individual, and he left the group 12 years ago when they were barely a year into their careers. Since then, he established his own brand identity that is totally separate from the group. The other former members are really great guys and would’ve stayed with the group if the company had not displayed such xenophobic prejudice towards them as non-Koreans. Thankfully they are doing very well for themselves and their hard work and talent continues to shine through and bring much success!!

When I first knew EXO, right off the bat, Chen grabbed my heart with his vocals. He's my ult bias but I love all nine of them to pieces. Unexpectedly, when Xiumin was serving in the military, I fell hard for him, too. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. So he's an addition to my ult bias. I'm still ot9 bias all the same. When it's exo, it's difficult not to love all of them. ❤❤❤

My first love and the one who is the reason I know exo is Chen and then lay was my second love and eventually the 9 of them hold me tight now. I can't see exo without each other ,they themsleves fan of each other . They are like family members to one another and that's help them work in such harmony together
My first love was Chen and he still has a special place in my heart. My ult is D.O and I can't replace him with somebody else. Those two literally take my soul to heaven! But I had also a crush on Tao (the third member who left EXO)... And on Suho too...🤷♀️ So... So hard to have a bias, basically all of them. When I first discovered EXO Kai was my ult bias & my was the first K-pop concert I went to & I still think he is the best dancer in K-pop. But lately Baekhyun is really creeping up on me. The dude is mega talented & a comedian. But I also have a soft spot for DO & Lay.

So hard to have a bias, basically all of them. When I first discovered EXO Kai was my ult bias & my was the first K-pop concert I went to & I still think he is the best dancer in K-pop. But lately Baekhyun is really creeping up on me. The dude is mega talented & a comedian. But I also have a soft spot for DO & Lay.
I think I started out more towards Baekhyun, then heard last scene and Chen was kinda the deal, but after I heard that song from D.O. ohh boy its hard to choose
Looks like my original comment was deleted. My ultimate bias in kpop, not just EXO is Baekhyun. But for his whole self, not just vocals. Going strictly on vocals, I actually love Chanyeol's voice the most in all of SM, with NCT Dream's Jisung a close second. Gorgeous baritones even if they aren't main vocalists.
Hmmm nice! That's a good pick. It seems like to me he is the naturally most gifted singer in many ways. I still need to get into NCT more
@@Killdeer25 NCT Dream’s new pre-release music video, Broken Melodies, has already beat Shinee’s entire new album for me. And it’s not like Shinee makes bad albums. So I have high expectations for the rest of Dream’s album which comes out mid July.
