It has been about 2 1/2 years since you posted this review....Do you still have the Launch 6, and if so, are you still carrying it and liking it?
    Thanks

I just ordered my launch 6 Auto today (2-27-19) and was looking for info and found you. Great review and to the point. I think I'm gonna be happy with it. I do love Kershaw knifes as they are pretty much go to knifes for EDC. again you covered all points that I had questions about, thank you and great job on your review. You for sure got me to sub your channel.

CPM154 is easy to sharpen, all my launches are razor sharp. I mostly use a KME but an electric worksharp also gets it sharp.

Got my launch 6 in teal with the stonewashed blade. Love the all black look though...it was a tough decision

Use a Whetstone (blue & white) I believe the white is 6,000 grit. All I do for all my blades is run it bottom to top, then top to bottom on the blue side being sure the entire blade is sharpened on both sides, then on the white side, I do clockwise spirals on the stone from bottom to top, top to bottom both sides. I sharpen mine 2x a week to maintain that edge. When you use the Whetstone be sure to apply water.

Had the 6 for a week now. I've been alternating between the Launch 7 and 6. I like the 7 better for a defense tool, the finger choil and overall shape are super ergo for my hands. Food prep, the 6 wins IMO. The steel keeps an edge for a long time (at least, CPM 154 is considered to be pretty hard) so sharpening would only need to be done periodically rather than constantly. You can send any Kershaw back to Oregon for sharpening. Autos need to ship from an authorized dealer, but that's not a huge issue for me. By the time a knife gets dull, I have another new one to use.

Always do you best to either stay away from guided sharpening systems get some decent what stones leather and we’re going six months at the very least depending on your determination you’ll pick up your own style and you’ll get perfect age every time I got my launch six today I have so many Different knives it’s hard for me to say which one is my favorite but I definitely love my launch sex but I knew immediately I wanted it to look different and definitely put my own edge it’s really quite simple man thanks for the video

The launch series knives have lockup problems. They don't reliably lock up upon deployment. I've had the 1 and 6

That degree of sharp is a no go for my standards, would need better. I put a 17 degree bevel with my Hapstone sharpener, then use the leather strop on my Ken onion work sharp to polish the edge. If it cant shave hair or slice phonebook paper, I keep at it till it can. CPM154 can get there.

The screw is to long it's bottoming out before it locks tight

(Nice nice nice...I seriously think about buying it. But here in Europe, US made knives are more expensive (150 Euros - about 200 bucks). Greetings from Poland.
