Jesus wasn't "just a man. He came from God, from outside of this world. He didn't come in His Glory. He came humbly in a manger showing that He came to free anyone who would have enough faith to believe in Him.
They said to cut my hair, they're driving me insane! I grew it out long to make room for my brain! Sometimes people don't understand - what's a good boy doin' in a rock n roll band!
What a dedicated, gifted, man of God, thank you my brother. Was fortunate to see him in Atlanta in a packed small Christian coffee house that we squeezed into for an all acoustic concert in the early seventies. Wonderful memories with close friends with a common belief in Yeshua. His music helped us worship the Almighty instead of the worship of man and his music.
My foster mum Joane used to play her 12 string guitar and sing this song. Many nights my family and I sat and sang as the fog rolled in over the valleys in the dusk of the evening. She died more than 12 years ago and I've missed her voice and calm presence. Im sure she is singing in heaven, strumming on her guitar. I hope she is helping the angels watch over me and the rest of our extended family. We believe we will meet again in heaven and join together once more to sing Praises to God. Blessings from South Eastern Australia, Dot
Tu madre descansa en el polvo de la tierra, cuando Cristo venga con gran poder y Gloria, los muertos en Cristo resucitarán primero. Eso es lo que dice la palabra de Dios en 1 tesalonicenses 4:16 -17
i've always felt (for nearly a half century) that this song is virtually perfect. an essential Christian theology. well done, good and faithful servant.
To be a bit nit pickey you could argue that the line "It's time for us to leave" is a reference to the idea of the rapture, which is questionable, but I choose to understand that line in a more general sense, of Christ's return and that this world is not really our home.
I used to cycle six miles to school every day and I would sing the entire "In Another Land" album to myself as I cycled along. This was pre-walkman or any other portable music devices.
an inspiration to me in my teen years, and still today. sometimes I sing a norman tune on karaoke night (from cd) listeners get real quiet and wonder whom im singing -- thanks mr norman.
Larry Norman, Randy Stonehill, Keith Green, Love Song, Phil Keggy & Petra to name a few of the artists that transformed Christian music. Too bad most of it today needs to be...well...transformed...again.
Not so much ahead of his time as just a very talented song writer. His body of work must easily rival any singer-songwriter ever. I mean it. His songs are that good and that consistent.
Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
The most important Rabbi for me as a gojim, the best teacher ever, I didn’t hear of any other Rabbi who’d make people speak about him so much after 2000 years and still be relevant today as much as than...
Well he said we should all be a little nicer to one another, love another like they selves, And love god, above everything else, That seems to me the proof from a message from above...
The only song I've ever performed solo in front of a live audience. Let's just say, I learned my lesson ~ ;^ )> Thank you Larry, oops, sorry, Thank you LEVI
Never Heard This, Oh My Dear God....I Hope Everyone Should SHare This Most Beautiful Song, it really Touches the Heart.......❤ ....a Song Much Needed Today! 😎
Did you put this video together brother Greg? Either way it is just about PERFECT! I saw that the segments come from the Gospel of John movie. I suddenly got in the mood to revisit this "Christian music oldie" and I was hoping to find just this sort of video. Thanks for the share. As things seem to be moving quickly on God's prophetic clock, now more than ever I'm excited about Jesus's return. The Lord is risen! The Lord is returning soon.
+drwinston Yes, I created the video with the help of the video "Gospel of John" - Thanks so much for your kind words. Yes, Jesus' return in near and we should all be ready. Another great Larry Norman song. God bless and thanks!
@@leslittle9112 Greg Murray originally made the best and most Larry Norman videos...he died a few years ago...Not sure why this poster didn't just take over Greg's Work....I have Greg's finally Facebook posts about his dire sickness...he was fascinated by Larry Norman...only
Fayetteville Joe did a very nice cover of this at Calvin Crest '77, however, my performance of it was a lesson on just how good it is to leave it to those with talent for such things - lol.
The most overlooked genius in terms of songwriting and record producing. Way ahead of his time. Fearless and forgiven.
He was a genius but not a nice person. He treated his wife terribly. It was about the money not the message.
That whole album "Only Visiting this Planet" is increadable... God speaks through all the songs.

While on earth he was “ just a man” a sinless man
I'm 66 years old when Larry played rock and roll music and had long hair the church didn't appreciate him

Some say..... but they were wrong and mistaken, Jesus is the son of God and all would be wise to believe
He did not take the jab as most cristians did sell their soul to The Science the new lord!
Be careful not to bear false witness
Who? Jesus or Larry Norman? And which jab do you mean?
Is this the Jesus film here?
The best argument that God does not exist is that America does exist.
You’re mean… 🤭
We should get ready. He is coming to get us.
