Hi there! Thank you for your comment. Both ways are fine, but we recommend to stick them after baking. It's easier. We will soon upload a tutorial for another minion design. Please follow us on facebook to keep you posted. Cheers! :)
We've received many lovely comments from our viewers. And thank you so much! Question that is commonly asked: What type and brand of polymer clay that we used? Answer: We used Sculpey Bake Shop to make our minions. Thank you for your support! Cheers!
So so adorable! Video's like these really make me want to start making things from polymer clay, but i can't really afford it. Polymer clay costs a bit here in Australia.
try baking the hair then sticking it into the head before baking the body. to secure the pieces you should use TLS before final bake or super glue after final bake. Hope that helps :)
you are so talented!!! do you think you can do the rest of the other minions you showed at the end of your video??? I made one before but it didn't come out very good...but you make it look so easy!
Hi there! Thank you for your comment. The nail polish is optional. We did it because to make it more realistic as if there's a layer of a glass on the minion's goggles.
what is the tool called? I was going to ask the same question? And do you remember the name of the art shop? It was a cool tool..sort of a metal half spoon thing. :)
They are adorable! I'll definitely have to make one. One thing though, I heard that over time nail polish will start to distort/break down the clay, so perhaps it's best to stick with gloss. I use Mod Podge gloss for my charms and it's working very well for me. :)
Actually unfortunately Mod podge is not good either. Use a glaze specifically made for polymer clay. Also the person who made this video didn't condition the clay at all so the figures are going to be very weak and break easily. You have to condition polymer clay.
Im defiantly gonna try this next weekend Il record a video after to show what they look like and il say when im done and id like it if you check it out and say something about it thank you !
Ur videos are so amazing I love them so cool have to know were to get polymer clay cause I wanna try doing that to I bet it will suck when I am done with it a am going to post a video
hi im not the person who made these but i make these a lot two. but the name of it is polymer clay, but there are other brands such as 'fimo' 'premo' and 'sculpey' they are basically the same just some are easier to mold than others i hope this helped x
I live that I made one for my dad before I saw this it was a little different but I like this style better thanks and its not that hard if you take your time
Thank you for sharing this awesome tutorial! I see that you use transparent nail polish to glue the hair and glaze the eye. How about if the hair was standing up? Would you also just put the nail polish on the head and 'stand' the hairs on them?
