Just a fun thing I found: You can use Jiren's level 1 in air after a Vanish into Dragon Rush for some extra damage. Just a small thing which you could use for future combo videos. Thanks for the guide!

The combo at 1:11 says only m and one l but I only get 13 hits instead of 14 and yes I do know that jirens medium hits twice so I would like to know if the input isn't m ll instead of m l? But I don't get that to work either... don't know what I'm doing wrong...

Jiren's assist gives teen gohan really good combo potential and so does tien. Tien can work very well with jiren and teen gohan as well and jiren loves tiens assist. I just have to figure out how to use teen gohan's assist to get the most out of jiren.

the spark combo if u add a infinity rush that uses a bar exactly after u spark and at the end after u blast down h instead do a blast infinity rush medium u can use a lvl 1 go into beerus lvl 1 and explode it and lvl3 hit for 10k dmg

Nice sets of combos. There are more advanced combos Jiren can do in corners.
You can also connect the qcf+H with his grab in the corner.

For the final combo, the jL, L, S - jL, L, S, H + S - L, L, what buttons are you pressing to connect the two lights? I press light twice as notationed in the video but I don't get as much damage, for instance, on Xbox, I am doing Jump X, X, X then special, Jump X, X, X dragon rush, special, X, X then down special. Are you doing this instead: Jump X, X, Y, X, special, Jump X, X, Y, X, dragon rush, special, X, Y, X down special - etc?

I finally know how to use jiren.
Um... Looking at the "instructions," I can only say: "can I please buy a vowel?" This meant like nothing to me, a casual player...
For the sake of simplicity, I'll use Xbox controller notation.
L=X
M=Y
H=B
S=A
QCF=Rolling the control stick from down to forward in one smooth motion.
QCB=Same as above, but from down to back.
If there is a "+", the two buttons are hit at the same time.
"j." means you quickly jump before hitting the button.

Oh and Cr.=Crouching and hitting the button at the same time
QCF= Quarter Circle Forward
QCB= Quarter Circle Back
L= Light
M=Medium
H=Heavy
S=Special/Ki Attack
Example= qcb+LM is a super
H+S= Super Dash
M+H= Vanish
L+M= Dragon Rush
j.L = Jump+ Light attack
Etc.

At the end, I'm having trouble connecting the last light with the crouch special into crouch heavy, I can't land the crouch special
There are so many problems with this that I don't understand, I've been at it for hours now and it keeps recovering before I hit the cS at the end, I think your jL, L, S is misleading, you d 3 hits

cCouldn't the first snapback combo be done without the vanish? Lots of moves that use up your smash in the air lead to free snapbacks. Does Jiren's just not launch high enough?
He can snap back with out the vanish

I'm doing exactly what he says but I'm not getting as much damage, still a lot, but not quite as much.
I think the inputs you listed at 1:10 are incorrect because I followed that perfectly and my combo does like 100 less damage than yours.

With the combo at 1:51, when I z vanish then cM, M, jM, the jumping medium never connects. How can o fix this, what am I doing wrong?
You have to super dash a little quicker after the crouch ki blast to reach the opponent with the qcf+h closer to them
When you vanish it's not a good idea to do the autocombo, but i will do it because it seems tooo good😄.
Jiren does a lot of damage but lacks mix ups- videl is the opposite. Completely fine w that

Some of these combos dont work anymore. You cant do cM, M, qcf+M anymore. You can only do c M, qcf + M
I'm getting only 2705 out of the dragon rush combo instead of 2725. I don't get what I'm doing wrong. (Same amount of hits and seemingly same input)
Kee square pressing while doing dragon rushes, or maybe u're missing one medium, Jiren air medium = 2 hits
@@MonkeyDaQA that's the strange part. I hold while dragon rushing and I've got the same amount of hits. If I miss one medium I only get 2625. I really don't know... but it's only 20 damage it's not that bad but it's strange nonetheless

@@Nyeril had the same problem. Don't forget that the last lll at the end of the combo equals lmh and jirens m hits twice so you'll have to slightly delay that you get both hits. Hope that helps?

Yes, I can get over 85% with Base Goku with 3 bars, no assist, dhc or spirit bomb
No solo snap back or no spark loops
Jason Kegarise he actually can solo snap back if he spends a bar on his Infinity Storm attack or whatever it's called. If you're comboing in the corner, it's a good way to snap back without switching sides.

I dont understand why everyone wants ultra instinct Goku.
The whole point of the transformation is that he fights without thinking and instead he would just get bodied every game in the hands of players.

Been in training for 2 hours now and I cant get any of the later combos down... I didnt think jiren would be this hard when I bought him last night

I don't like him as a dragon ball character (poor design, lack of charisma...) but his gameplay is nice, so he is better as a fighting game character! btw I'm French so pardon my english :)
Guess this is the case for most characters or Transformations in super. They were made to sell merchandise for the most part.
@@jinkisaragi874 yes, I think you're right! I don't like super sayan blue either...but regardless, some dbs characters do have good design/backstory/motivations, like Hit and Goku Black. It is just that Jiren is very disappointing as dbs' "final boss"...

@@imoutchea6029 I guess people just need to figure him out because right now people don't know how to play him and which assists are good with him. But one thing is that if he's not in the corner you really need to spend much ki and 90% of the time u don't even get slide knockdown
Emmanuel Nir jiren has a fantastic way of getting people in the corner with just 1 combo . You’ll spend the average amount of ki for extending combos and still have good damage .. if you vanish in your combo , you’ll always have a chance to get a sliding knockdown with his down heavy & dragon rush. I usually spend only two bars in combos . 1 for vanish and 1 for level 1. Not much ki at all compared to the roster .

That's the universal inputs, no one has the time to convert them into every type of buttons out there
Between each youtuber there is a different translation of the combo, you might have to agree one day !! It becomes a real mess !!!!
Such a lame moveset. This was kind of a let down as season 2 launch. Videl is way more fun of a character, but they should've launched With Broly and Gogeta. Cause that movie was FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!! Can't wait to see that Gogeta lvl1 assault rain attack and Broly doing the gigantic omega with the bomb being like a mile wide and swirling with that green energy
