Technically the sword was a heman reference, since his phrase is “for the power of grayskull”, but it’s the same universe as she ra so I’ll let it slide
but... adora/sheras catchphrase was “for the honour of grayskull”... which is what it’s referencing

Am i the only one who sees the similarities between hordak and the emperor? like they both work for a superior power, (horde prime and titan) and both love to flaunt on their throne.
only difference could be i love hordak and hate the emperor
yea, they're very similar in that sense. also in their motives or root of their villainization which is basically just having a fucked up perception of "unity and peace" and using the very morals that kind of counteract those concepts in order to establish them. i must say though, that this new approach to creating villains in media is quite appealing and interesting.
whenever she talks about "azora" it gives me Adora vibes "I can befriend the enemy like Azora did." no adora basically married her enemy LOL

How is Luz mentioning Azura befriending her rival a Shera reference exsactly? It's just a book trope that they decided to poke a little fun of. It's realy comnon and not at all exclusive to Shera. Fuck it could be the last airbender reference, it could a reference to Gravity falls ( that moment Dipper decides convinces Gideon to betray Bill Cyper), or heck it could reference My Hero Academia with Bakugo and Deku's rivalry.
