Love the red and white!! My thought is to leave the garland on the light. Wish l had one too!! The "wispy-ness" of the greenery doesn't overwhelm the light but adds the perfect amount of festive flair. I also decorate shelves and pretty much do them the same each year. Thanks for the inspiration !!
I bet your kids just LOVE coming home to a decorated house especially since the kitchen at least wasn’t decorated when they left. I remember my kids really enjoying that.
Crystal you can put the little table lamp by the mixer. It will give a lot of light in the dark corner. Switch the Rae Dunn red canister in place of the lamp. Try it, you might love it. I have a dark corner and black granite. I keep a lamp in the corner and it makes a big difference. 🎄🌲

At last we get to see the kitchen Christmas decorating viseo🎄🎄🎄🎄. The 3 shelves look so festive, the wreath on the arched frame finishes that section of the kitchen. The chicken box is another favorite of,one. The buffet turned out beautiful with the flocked trees and the white village is gorgeous.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. The little plaid light up house I got few years ago when I saw you haul it and since then it has started my obsession with the cardboard houses and now I have a village of them!
It looks pretty! The light looks good. I would hang small ref lacquered apples on the 2 trees beside the dough bowl. And I would hang a full red poinsettia wreath between the 2 book shelves. .

As for your struggles with your shelves, you aren't alone. Most of us have to put things up, stand back, and add, take away, rearrange, think of something even better.... It sometimes takes me days...weeks!
I think that's one of the reasons I decorate early. I deck the halls and then I tweak!

Crystal, your decorating is just so sweet. Thank you so much for having the traditional colors that I absolutely love. As much as so many others are using the neutral colors, I prefer the reds and greens for Christmas and the whites for winter. Living in a cold climate with long winters, I change my Christmas reds over to the whites until Spring. Besides, I’m sure the kiddos absolutely love it💕
