    Hi bro, i have been having knee pain probably due to ITB syndrome since 3 weeks ago and have been completely off running. Do u have any advice ?

      I suffered ITB syndrome a few years ago, stopped running for a few weeks and went to physio, they did some dry needling for my glutes and my tibialis anterior. That alongside some strength training for the glutes got rid of it in a few weeks for me

      I took about 2 weeks off and gradually ramped up mileage. Got back into the gym and did bunch of leg work with back squats, Bulgarian split squats, deadlifts, etc. I found the biggest thing that helped nowadays is to spend at least 5 mins before a run activating my glutes with crabwalks, jumping lunges and clam shells. Haven’t had the pain ever since I’ve started doing it though YMMV

      Get some physio to settle it, then strengthen up whatever isn’t doing a good enough job to help the ITB (usually quads & glute max/med).

      Omg…. You better have it check up in the hospital…. This is serious… I did not even think it could happen to a physically fit runner like you… this is not normal. I hope you rest well and sort it out asap. Take care !,,❤
