I agree, kudos to Mercedes for building by far the best car for the last 6-7 years.
I think as soon as 5 years from now, the majority of people won’t be able to tell the difference between high end sim footage and actual track footage. Especially if the get all the mechanical sounds and lighting to be much better. Realistic camera mode with vibrations and moisture on the lens and stuff like that.

You should be able to break harder with MGU-K recovery high actually, it adds resistance on rear axle when decelerating.
Okay. A few things. 1. There are a few corners that you need to work on. 2. Don't shoot yourself short, you are a pretty good driver, way better than most. 3. Be more aggressive on the throttle. 4. You don't have a multi-million dollar team behind you coaching you on throttle, brake, corners, cornering, etc... Again, don't shoot yourself short. 5. That was probably faster than most can achieve. 6. Enjoy.
I think it's not only down to drivers if we compare our sim lap times to the real f1 ones. Because I did the same thing in reverse once. I was about 6 seconds faster around monaco in the Michael Schumacher Jordan than the fastest lap of Senna in 1991 that weekend.
Nevermind let me correct myself real quick it was "only" 1 or 2 seconds but that still would be bloody fast.

Something's strange, I got close to his time after only some practice and was racing with people who did laps in the 26s, with no setup
In the Ferrari 2004 I hit 1:25 on mediums and I’m no where near as good as Jimmer. The car he’s using isn’t up to snuff.

i'm really not a fan of Schumacher but, there is a lot of pressure on Mick for getting the succession of the father. so much that if he doesn't enter F1 in the 2 or 3 following years, and does well, sponsors would quit the family and Michael (Corinna) would have to change eveything because of the money loss. his treatment bill is around 10M euros per year!
they'd have to sell a lot of things to sustain Michael's treatment. because sponsors already want to quit Michael. Mick tries to maintain them until he enters F1. if he does well, they'll stay. the strory is good points for sponsors. the son walking on father's path is selling.
Next challenge, beat Seb Vettels time in the Red Bull X1 around the GP track of a 1.04ish

I honestly believe that F1 2020 and the devs are so far apart from the actual Mercedes cars. The real world cars out perform the maxed out in game cars hands down.

How does your timer reset when crossing start line? Mine doesn't reset the 1st time I cross the start line when doing a hotlap start.

How on earth are you able to brake like that with those cars and not lock your brakes i have to brake 25m before you in the big braking point ang i get a lock up almkst every time with the slightest touch on the brakes I've changed both brake bias and sensitivity many times but nothing helps really I've got a g920 btw
Tip= Use your leg as a pivot for better fine braking control, Or try and keep your heel in the same place while pivoting your foot. Use the tip of the brake pedal and practise at slow speeds first, with a braking meter, and try to achieve 25%, 50%, and 75% exactly
you can brake to 100% at first, then you have to drop the pressure as the downforce(and therefore grip) goes down with speed.
You want to get most of your braking done in one fast depression of the brake and roll off the pedal. It helps to take a look at a brake input graph of an f1 driver. You'll see a "Pyramid" shape to braking inputs. Try to replicate that.
@@whysoslow1999 so the trick is to slam them first and then let go slowly or start slow and build up the pressure?
@@azoom962 slam first, let go slowly in high downforce cars, like F1/F2/F3/LMP1/LMP2.
You have so much more grip at high speed due to the aerodynamics that you can press the pedal to 100%, but at lower speeds, you dont and you would lock up if you pressed to 100% or kept it there.

There are mods though
there are mainly the scam dream cars that are strangely high quality for what the firm puts out but blown diffusers don't really work that well with AC's physics
@@WolfdogKitok no just before releasing their v8 2013 car they stated themselves that AC's physics does not lend itself too well to blown diffusers, they just give cars terminal understeer.

You can get 2 to 3 seconds per lap in the 2004 with TC off
There were less races per season in Schumi's day but yeah good achievement still

The Red Bull X2010 has a 3L TWIN TURBO V6 engine in the back :) its not a V10 car sadly :P just correcting you at 17:23

You should install the Sidekick UI mod. It saves your personal best times across sessions and gives a ton of info in a really compact layout. You'd probably find your tire pressure wasn't optimal when you switched to the softer compound.

after a year of hotlapping this track the best I've ever done is a 1:28.2 in the RSS FH2021... I cannot for the life of me get under 1:30 in any V10 car, clearly I'm going the exact wrong way with setup
I have tried to get a valid lap at the nurburgring gp layout in the rb x2010, I just cannot keep up with the thing on that track...
also, does anyone else have zero engine sound when watching their replays in the ferrari concept?
any fixes/things I am missing that stop the sounds from functioning properly??
