Dino didnt sound like this 9 years ago, hes worked really hard to improve and get to where he is now. And hes always been a dancer first, thats where his passion lies, and what hes always been best at, hence the performance team. In fact predebut Hoshi was in vocal team and Woozi was in performance team, and at a different point the performance team was hoshi, dino, vernon, and woozi. Theyre all talented in so many areas but the team designations came from a combo of their best skill and their preferred skill 9 years ago
i don't think she has a really good grasp of how talented they are as dancers because she constantly spoke about junhwi and chan needing to be in the vocal team despite seeing clips of them dancing, they're both great singers, in fact every member of seventeen across all units are great singers, great dancers, great rappers but sebongs performance unit are four of the best dancers in the industry, this is coming from a bighit and hybe stan, predebut carat who was a fan of bboy myungho and a classically trained ballerina currently heading into my 11th year, they're all insane and i don't think she realizes how good they are lmfao.

China doesn't have mandatory military service, they have something called "De Jure compulsory service", similar to the United States; quote "males in China aged 18-22 must register for 24-month compulsory service, but enough volunteers exist that no “draft” of compulsory registrants has ever taken place." And since Jun and Minghao are not Korean citizens, they don't serve in their army. It wasn't explicitly said in the guide, but Jun and Minghao are fully Chinese. They just came to Korea to train and debut, without knowing any Korean or the culture. Joshua also didn't know Korean very well, but he had at least some understanding of it and of the culture - since his parents are Korean. I'm always amazed by all the foreign idols. I can't imagine how hard it was to train and learn in a language that you don't understand, trying to learn the language simultaneously with all your training and normal education, while not being able to fully communicate with your fellow trainees 😶 Ps.: There was one idol, Taecyeon (from the group 2PM), who had the American citizenship, but he gave it up just so he could enlist in the army. I can't really write how much I love Jun. Like I don't know where to start because I am so amazed of him. Just that, when Jun puts on character, he becomes that character, very different from Jun and he is more comfortable when being in character. Jun is an actor since 2 years old, a piano master (wins a lot of competition), wins a lot of martial arts competition but he was injured in one of his competition resulted in spinal tuberculosis. His brother wrote how much he idolize his older brother because even after that fall in the competition, Jun hadn't shown that he was in pain, he continued. He never even cried but the injury is so severe that made him stopped doing martial arts. Until now, the effect of it is still visible in his dance. As an actor, since he was a child, he was always crying on screen but Jun very rarely cries when he's not in a character. He is childish, playful and so fluffy but he is matured, good at comforting people, empathetic and has so much pride. He is naughty but he is so strong and also often holds his own feelings like how he doesn't winces when in pain, how he didn't change his face when eating spicy or sour foods and how he still faces camera and perform perfectly on stage even though he's shy, anxious and nervous everytime. I love Jun as an idol, he's good in singing and dancing. JUN is very talented and has very good personality, very genuine. To me, he has a very soothing voice. His earlier solos are mostly ballad. Only the recent LIMBO and PSYCHO showcased a different sides of him. He is showing us how versatile he can be as a great artist.
