If the Oilers manage to pull this comeback off, it will be the most Oilers thing they've ever done. This is so incredibly on brand for them and its so funny. From bottom of the league at the beginning of the season to making it to the Stanley Cup Finals is crazy but going from being down 3-0 to possibly tying the series and hopefully a cup would be even crazier. Win or lose, this season has been so fun as an oilers fan
They are going to win, Panthers goalie bobrovski is horrible and was figured out since game 4 when Oilers made adjustments and line changes. Oilers win game 7 today if Panthers start bobrovski, and it's a free Stanley Cup for the Oilers.
Have the Panthers made adjustments since game 4? No.. they've just been playing any old way hoping to put it away and win the Cup.. but that isn't gonna win the cup when they're facing the best player in the league

As a impartial fan that just loves playoff hockey, this has been a treat to watch. And aside from Panthers fans, I don't know how anyone would cheer against the Oilers completing the comeback.
If you want to talk about maximum effort, know that McDavid was at the end of a long shift and dead tired when he went around all those guys to set up the 4th goal.
The Florida player that knocked the puck away from the empty net in the second movie scene is Matthew Tkachuk. Theres some back story: he was traded to Florida from the Calgary Flames, the Edmonton Oilers biggest rivals. He asked to be traded from the team after him and the Calgary Flames were eliminated from the playoffs after their best season in a long time by... McDavid and the Oilers. Sam Bennet on Florida was also part of that Calgary team that disintegrated after getting clapped by the Oilers in round 2 of the playoffs *a couple years ago
NHL playoffs are next level man. Especially when you consider games that go to sudden death overtime!

Oilers fans didn’t like my take before the series. I said panthers were physical and that the lack of goal scoring mcdavid had isn’t going to work. He needs to put up 5-7 goals in order for them to win. He’s now at 3 with 2 to go. I had Florida as well before because of bobrovsky. But he’s resorted back to his Columbus days. But I really wanted Edmonton to win. #ForBen

That goal thing is a terrible take though. The guy has basically used his teammates sticks to put the puck in. Look at Perry's goal. No other player is doing more on a goal than Mcdavid did there. He has been on the ice for 53 of their 80 goals and only 21 of their 62 against.

For some perspective.. the ONLY game the the oilers were outplayed in was game 2. The oilers have outpaced the panthers in every metric in 4/5 games. the difference has been 1-goaltending and 2-poor/unbalanced officiating. any analyst would agree so save it. There have been SEVERAL examples in each game, where the refs penalize the oilers for something in one hand, then moments later they let it slide with the panthers. . . its utterly blatant.
I think oilers win game 6, panthers bounce back game 7. The travel between Canada down to Florida just adds so much stress to the body. I just don’t see how Edmonton has the capacity to compete 4 straight games in pure desperation mode.
