Oh this is great. To my taste, at least, Kushal Das is the greatest living sitar player; he has a profundity and intelligence that are so lacking in many others. I am praying that unlike Nikhil Banerjee, he does not die young. (I feel like a mother who says, “take care of your health!”, but sometimes mothers do know best.)

No doubt Indian classical lovers were sleepless in Seattle.
KD is almost Nikhilda, 21st century avatar. He lacks only that narrative of innate spirituality elevating the player and the audience towards eternity.
I particularly liked Kirwani, where he showed his roots and originality by fleetingly echoing legendary "Bone noy mone mor".
PL CORRECT THE NAME OF THE 3RD RAGA, IT IS GORAKH KALYAN. (Gurukulan is no raga, ha ha)

    পন্ডিত কুশল দাসের বাজনা আমার ভীষন ভালো লাগে। ইউটিউবে ওনার কিছু থাকলেই শুনি। আমার প্রণাম নেবেন।🙏

Wondering if if the Acronym ACIT means Anindo Chatterjee Institute of Tabla .. and thats purely my guess work ... but that said I thought Anindo Chatterjee School of Tabla was in NYC (brooklyn) .. they have a chapter in Seattle too ??

@@romitgupta9977 Interesting ... did not know that. I thought the NYC chapter was run by a guy called Ehren Hensen, and that NYC was the only presence that he had in the US. Happy to know that he is spreading his music in the west coast as well ...
