ur points on invisibility largely hint at a common misconception about stealth. It is specifically split into CAMOFLAGE and INVISIBILITY to prevent controlwards from being broken. By making controlwards able to reveal Akali, Kha'Zix, Teemo etc. you make 75g able to counter a given champs ability to play scenarios. There is already counterplay to these champs, reveals (which you can impact from draft) and cooldowns. By making a 75g ward that ANYONE can purchase able to deny entire aspects of champ-kits you essentially remove skill expression from that part of the game. If you die to a Kha'zix because you didnt track his position before a fight its YOUR fault. If Akali manages to TP away from within her shroud because you didnt bring CC or didnt hold it its also YOUR fault. These are lessons players need to learn in order to become better at the game. 'Fixing' skill issues with systemchanges is detrimental to the games longevity because it makes the game less rewarding to get better at.
It does exact opposite, it gives you more space for skill expression. With this change you should have a lot more micro control and understanding of the game. You have to decide between: using control wards for vision, keeping them to counter invisible champions and not buying control wards. Yes, you can deny aspects of champ-kits for 75 gold, but it brings more complexity to the game. For example you bought control ward for 75 to counter Akali, she comes close to you and uses her shroud, you use your control ward, but it actually was a bait and she didn't plan on going in. You've just wasted 75 gold, you didn't get the vision and now you don't have a chance for outplay. If you buy control wards over and over again it could actually lose the game because enemy champs with invisibility will get a gold lead. Right now it's just "I've picked Lee Sin into Kha'zix, good draft I win", with control wards change you will have more options to counter invisible champions. I think every mechanic should have some sort of counter play outside of drafts and invisibility doesn't have it.
Still missing the point. The reason you cant just buy a control ward to counter Akali or Kha'Zix is because Riot knows it would be too cheap of a trade off. Hence why some champs have CAMOFLAGE (twitch, evelynn, Rengar) and can be spotted by controlwards while other champs cant. Making this change does not improve leagues complexity at all. It would only be a nerf to certain champs meanwhile everyone else across the board gets better. You need to learn to deal with these champs using your own kit, draft and gameknowledge. If every mechanic needs counterplay outside of draft then why isnt there an item that stops dashes similar to poppy W? because it would be over powered. if such an item existed it would negatively impact Poppys identity while also rendering champs like Rengar completely useless. Your example also doesn't take in to consideration that Akali at this point has used her shroud which is her longest CD and is now in a way weaker position for the next 15 seconds, thus skewing the odds. This would never work in higher Elos because simply having the CW would discourage Akali from using her most important spell. Therefore the pressure you get from 75g is essentially equal to holding an ENTIRE reveal ability for the right moment. The potential loss of 75g can never compare to the potential loss of a fight and its degenerate because it TAKES AWAY from other aspects of the game that are intended for these situations.
@@boneheadsawq First of all why you calling my point of view degenerate? Camouflage was designed to evade vision and used for ganks, while invisibility is a safety tool that's used during fights. It improves League complexity by giving you a choice. Yes this is a nerf to certian champs, but in the video I mentioned that they should get a buff if these changes get implemented 10:08. That's the problem many champs don't have anything in their kit that can counter invisible champions. There are too few champions with reveal abilities and it's not always possible to draft them. How game knowledge will help me to understand in which part of shroud Akali is? th-cam.com/video/Ov6D8NDH0tM/w-d-xo.html pro players don't have enough game knowledge? Or invisibility is op? I don't think that there should be an item that stops dashes, but maybe an item that slows dashes or something like that would be interesting. Yes, Akali used her shroud and will be at weaker position for the next 15 seconds. But why you don't take in to consideration the fact that you used your only anti-invisability tool? You will get the next control ward after recall and when Akali gets her cooldown back you wont have any counterplay tools and on top of that you wasted 75 gold. This would work in higher elos because in higher elos vision is very important, instead of contributing towards vision you keep the control wards which can lead to even worse consequences. Again it's a hard choice. Yes, 75 gold doesn't look like a lot of gold, but in early game it can make a difference. What's more important is that you lose the vision if you keep wards for the fight. In the mid to late game it's not about gold, it's about slot. Again it's a choice, do you want to use a slot for control wards or buy a basic/epic item that gives you stats.
@DoransShield I meant that i think the counter-measure you propose to invis is in my opinion promoting 'degenerate' gameplay by removing skill expression. The same way you might think the current state of invis lack counterplay and is degenerate. I didn't mean to offend you. I wont answer to most of your points because i think its a bit redundant atp. I dont have perfect gameknowledge and you could be right as well as i could. However i think the clip of Akali escaping 1v4 in a pro game only proves my point here. He knows enemy is moving to him (he watches map and his team is telling him in coms) therefore he instantly Ws and starts teleporting to safety. Notice he doesn't wait to dodge Viegos E because he knows by the time he will channel TP Leona or Ziggs will be there to possibly cancel it with CC (rumble can give akali positioning with Q). His perfect awareness, timing and knowledge of enemy champion capabilities is what allows him to pull off this insane play. If your change was implemented a 75g control ward by either Rumble or Viego and it wouldve been GG with 0 chance of Akali escaping and we would've never had this moment. This is exactly why i think the game is better off without such a change. Again i didn't mean to offend you, I just think such change is 'degenerate' to the nature of the game. You make great videos and i think your takes are good, I just happened to disagree on this one.
@@boneheadsawq It's all good. The fact that Akali can escape in this type of situations is not ok. In the comment before you said that my game knowledge would help me to counter invisible champions, in this comment you talk about game knowledge of player on Akali - invisible champion. If I am Viego in this situation game knowledge wont help at all. Akali isn't supposed to escape like this. Okay, if Akali ulted someone, dodged 5 abilities, dashed away, then it would be an insane play. But here Akali just pressed W + F, you don't have to be any good in the game to press 2 buttons. Low elo silvers can do this, but even pro players can't do ANYTHING to counter it. Isn't it weird?
So you are telling me that you made a video about an item that was removed from a game like a year ago and I still watched it? Damn man keep up the good work, because you are going to get far. As to the Duskblade, I played it on Samira and after the first change the invisibility felt useless as opposing to the invurnelability. It was still fun, but more playable against. I think that if Riot added it back in this state right now it would make a great item.

I almost never see duskblade built on asasins when it gave untargetabilty. Only darius since he could 1v5 with one kill.
