Man, watching this movie again after SO MANY YEARS has triggered a whole lot of memories! I remember when I saw this as a kid. It came out the same year as Terminator 2. And this movie, Toy Soldiers, has a solid plot and cast of characters. Even now, this movie has a lot of value and merit. And it was great seeing this again after SO LONG.
1:37 That guy is hauling ass up those stairs. Always thought the stunts the special forces did in this film were impressive. Rappelling, crashing through windows, diving, shooting, etc. Underrated film.
2:56 the amount of emotion in that guy’s facial expression! Anger, frustration, hatred, disbelief, surprise and shock! And of course, Billy just goes “sorry” to rub it all in!
@@chrisoliver5839 everyone was gone but him, so it stood to reason he was somehow involved. As for not shooting him, he was still using him as a human shield while trying to blow up the whole school.
I attended this military academy. There was an insignia that read Best School in the Country. They never lied.Thanx for bringing back all my childhood memories
SUCH A GOOD MOVIE. Back then all these movies made a little boy like me want to be in the military . I regret not joining, but I think working for the city is still the same politics . But I will never forget this movie. Movies like these really had a part in my life. And thankfully this is still out there
Sean Astin really knew how to play a leader. In "The Goonies", he was a real believer and seeker. But in this one, he displays how far he's come since then! A real leader with guts and strength.
I forgot the military coordinated with a high school principal, but the leader of the sec ops handed the principal a gun even though they had a dozen soldiers in the building 😂

RIP Lou Gossett Jr. He was good in this one. Memories of childhood…

How did he knew Billy sabotaged or disabled his remote detonator? And wouldn’t Luis had shoot him out of rage for doing that???

@@abehambino Yeah he then tried to do it manually by yanking the wires but I think billy was fending him off, scuffling or shuffling with each other.

Andrew Divoff played one Helluvan Evil looking Jesus in this Film
Agreed. He looked sinister with long hair and beard just like sergio peris mencheta from rambo
Even though he was a villain, he was quite charismatic.
He also acted in the movie Another 48 Hours which came out a year earlier.

Let's make a crappy movie "no"
"I said yes"...
"ok"
If the Dean never went against authority the one troop storming the building, who survived the blast would not had made it.
Team Work!!!
Just watched this movie last night after decades of not seeing it.
Samwise does something useful for once here, save the day against Lev Kravchenko!
This reminds me of the Philippines 🇵🇭 in 1993.
