This is excellent. Ironically I am learning Russian and started jazz guitar. These words ring true when learning Russian, as I have been told so many times. We all could speak quite well before our teachers started to teach us about verbs, nouns, adjectives, and more. Now I know how jazz works, through exactly the same way that I have deployed with my language learning. Amazing, thank you.

I think this explains why I've always had such a hard time learning theory. I've only been able to play by ear, even in college, and whenever I tried to learn theory it was always very divorced from the experience of the actual music and what I was hearing
