Actually, Stein didn't rule out the ladies. He had a rule of thumb that the person with the widest hip girth usually seemed to win--at least among the contestants.

3 is a rare feat for Ben. He usually gets 7, 8 of them even when the contestant gets 5. Jimmy never told Ben how many she got right before he started.

In the second season when they switched to monitors (where the questions were now seen as well) and they had two clocks (one in each booth), the school bell sound when time ran out in the bonus round was replaced with the same buzzer from the main game.
