I am impressed by the performance of the Hummer which is a bigger, wider and longer vehicle. You have to have strong driver skills to overcome all these obstacles.

You do not miss articulation with a Hummer H1. It can be a bit scary when it tips and dips, but if it fits it'll go where you point it. We've owned two H1s for 30 years costing very little, except the fuel; 11 mpg on or off road. They almost never break. We also own a Cherokee and a Wrangler and love them all as they are really related. The NP242 transfer case on the Cherokee is the same as the one under the Hummer.
OMG a Jeep in Australia, i was told that a Jeep in Australia would just disintegrate on contact with AU trail over on the 4x4 channel and yet here is one. my god. its also doing a great job so what gives, i was lead to believe there are NO jeeps in AU and would never be as many people stated "they are junk" "they break too easy" that the only 4x4's was toyotas and DMAX's yet here is one amazing.

The Jeep spanked the Hummer. See that rear wheel in the air and the tail dragging on the Hummer's first obstacle? A stock Rubicon wouldn't have done that.

The H1 does beat the jeep in approach, departure angles and ground clearance. anyways, comparing a 80's stock vehicle to a brand new heavily modified vehicle is silly. Ironically, the rubicons only advantage over off-roading to any other vehicle on the market is its size
I agree. If you look at the line the hummer guy takes, it's a much easier line that what the Jeep took. Any one who thinks the Hummer spanked the Jeep is smoking some good shit. A 99" used H1 goes for 62k. I paid 20k for my used JK and have maybe put in 10k in suspension which still puts me at 30k below the H1 and can still outperform.

Now this test is far better with the closer wheel base and that articulation of the Jeep, that's why Jeep Rules. Nice post guys!

Love both trucks but the Hummer is something special for us in Australia to see it being used out bush.
