    Well done mate, congratulations on finishing this build and a huge thank you for taking us all along for the ride. Enjoyed every second of the series. Yes I dont have an e30, but I have a few old JDM cars which i work on as projects DIYing on weekends.. which meant I could emotionally connect with you whilst watching you hard at work on these old beauties.. Older cars have so much character right? Special thanks from Australia, Cheers

      And a big thanks to you for watching along all this time and for contributing positive comments. It's a huge motivator for getting these videos out! Old cars do have character, and no matter the brand or country of origin, they all require special attention to keep them going. BMWs just might require more of it than others. lol

    Man, that C pillar looks fantastic - I had no clue it was possible to blend paint and have it look that good! I've deeply enjoyed this series and seeing the E30's transformation; it's sad to see the series come to a close, but I'm very happy for you that you've got it all finished!
    I'm looking forward to the cost breakdown - a few things would be interesting to see:
    - As part of it, if you've got some relevant footage, could you show some before and after comparisons?;
    - Seeing how taking an E30 in this one's starting condition and doing the restoration compares to how much buying one in the now restored condition would be;
    - If you are willing to share, how much, if any, of your costs have been offset by any youtube revenue you've made.
    Thanks for all the hard work and fantastic cinematography/music/editing - I look forward to any future builds you might do!

    must feel amazing to finally have the car done, it looks excellent! all your hard work has really paid off, and dont sweat the super small stuff, a few rough edges just add character. :) if you decide to fix the slightly mismatch headlights i definitely recommend getting some smileys. it'd really set off the euro vibe you have going on with the german plate and the iS lip.

    Awesome video!! I've been using this as a guide for my e30. I'm in the market for a vise and was curious about the size of your vise. I'm trying to decide between a 4" or 5" and since you went through the whole car I figured you would be a good resource. Thank you.

    • @PracticalEnthusiast
      @PracticalEnthusiast  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine is the 5" one from Harbor Freight. It's a great vise so long as you don't use it for severe pressing duty (i.e. bushings) because I've broken one doing that before.

    What a great project! About the old right head lamp I think you can always try to polish the glass to make it a bit more shinny and similar to the new one!
    I know you spent a huge amount of money on this car, it looks gorgeous and your taste is absolutely refined but, wouldn't you consider some genuine BMW BBS alloys or something OEM and just a bit sporty?

    • @PracticalEnthusiast
      @PracticalEnthusiast  5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The German license plate is period correct for this car. The current plates with the EU flag were introduced in 1994, so this one is at least 25 years old. What this car needs to finish it off is a set of BMW style 5 cross-spoke wheels.

    I think my ac compressor clutch is in the same state yours was in my '90 schwarz e30 sedan. Did it actually blow cold?

    • @PracticalEnthusiast
      @PracticalEnthusiast  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once the new compressor clutch hub was installed, the A/C blew "cool", not cold. I'd guess that there is moisture in the system. I'm planning on taking a vacuum on it and giving it a fresh recharge here soon and that should result in it blowing cold.
