I was sixteen and my grandmother and GREAT grand father wanted to visit Ellis Island in 1959. They had come over on the boat some 50 years earlier. They ask me to drive them to New York city.. We went to a Broadway play and I believe it was The Death of A Salesman (not sure.) We also went to the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, China Town and did a bus tour the next day. The following day I went to both Al Flosso and Tannen's. Al Baker was sitting on a chair at Tannen's. I sat right next to him and he amazed the stuffing out of me. I also met Lou Tannen,. Al Flosso was not in the shop that day but it was still awesome. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I'm 79 now and plan a trip to NY this summer. -keith
The initial problem relays on the fact that the "clown" bubble actually belongs completely inside the "comedians" bubble. Clowns, on their original form, are a subset of comedy. Of course, some movies have created not-comedic clown characters, but, they are not the original clown paradigm.
lol my grandfather, Benjamin J. Pressman, was an NYC board of Ed certified magician - prob the only registered magician in nyc. You can look him up on askalexander
I think in the overlap I might put "circus". A good circus should have all of those elements. Someone else said "entertainment" and that's a good one too. Another one could be "things people fear"; there are people who fear clowns, magicians, and comedians. With people who fear comedians, typically it's less the fear of a comedian themselves and more the fear of being the butt of the comedian's joke and having the whole room laugh at them.

Magicians plus clowns plus comedians.... mimes? Not sure about mimes in general... perhaps Mr. Mime? xD
I was thinking the answer is: Harry Anderson.

Squaring up the cue cards is the most “magician” thing he did in this entire video.
Magician + Clown + Comedian = Political Pundit
You win the internet. The whole thing. All for you. I bequeath to you your award.
I would have said {"Penn & Teller."
your answer is better.
Clown: they scare children
Comedian: they say very funny things (on serious issues)
Magician: how they magically hide their money in tax havens
