Honestly this movie had no right to be as good as it was. Tbh its surprising the franchise never wanted to try a digimon solo story prior. The ending credits was such a treat

Man, it really wouldn't have been Digimon Savers without Masaru decking a skyscraper-sized Digimon in the face. I freaking loved this season, and the movie does not disappoint!
I honestly think a Digimon Savers retrospective would be good to see too! I rewatched it about a year ago and it's one of the better Digimon seasons tbh
Here's hoping if Discotek does a movie release of this, they dub this like they redubbed the original 3 movies.
The action and the storyboarding, even the Pixar like animated bloopers was my favourite thing about the project. ShineGreymon vs Algomon Mega is really awesome.
I still don't know if I like that the movie starts like the part B with a missing part A.

When has it EVER worked outside it's debut episode?? To this day I still question the point of that thing was, especially compared to ShineGreymon's Glorious Burst.
Honestly I think it was a meant to be a toy acessory for a Shinegreymon toy, or be something used in a video game and they wanted to promote it.
I think of it like Transformrs Beast Wars, new toy gets introduced, toy looks badass and awesome kicking everyones butt, later on becomes a joke.
This is like the reverse when Ash got kissed by the red flying pokemon pretending to be a girl, forgot it's name.
The name of the Pokemon is Latias, she kissed Ash while in the form of a human girl named Bianca.

As a fan of Sonic and Digimon, another parallel between 06 and Savers is how Solaris and the Yggdrasil avatar really look alike when you think about it!

I honestly like this movie it’s definitely not perfect but it’s so cute to see the partner’s gets so screen time on their own!
While I agree that it's not as weird because she's a digimon, I feel like the intent was the same as with Sonic because Rythm has no nonhuman features. The animation is great though
...okay knowing that Rhythm is a Digimon I spotted that the little things on the back of her head are actually wings...and they look so much like Kazemon's wings...is Rhythm actually the rookie form of Kazemon?
I wished we could've gotten to see this in the states. Sounds like it was a solid fun flick. I highly enjoyed Data Squad when it aired here in the states on disney xd back at the time. Loved how different it was with digimon partnering up with police to protect the world. Wished the states had gotten more digi films outside of the first two. I so would've made my way to the theaters to see it. Thanks for bringing this to light digiknow.
Rhythm is a Digital Lifeform, not a Digimon, which explains why she doesn't have "mon" at the end of her name. She's closer to Gennai from Adventure in that regards.
Also, her and Algomon's names are a pun on Algorithm.
I do generally prefer the normal design of ShineGreymon but hot damn if Burst Mode's colours aren't clean as hell
Man I always wanted a Digimon show/or another game that purely focused on the Digimon themselves rather than the tamers so to learn about this movie would've made 10 year old me excited beyond anything, especially since Agumon is the main character in this. And the fact that they added bloopers at the end is very charming, not many movies do that anymore. During the mid 2000s they fizzled out quickly, even Pixar stopped doing them which was one of several things their movies were known for early on.
I was worried when I heard about the "human" and Digimon relationship as it was also giving me Sonic 06 flashbacks, but it seems to be handled here a lot better than whatever was going on in that mess of a game with Sonic and Elise lol
Not gonna lie the climax of this movie was really the best agumon is at the end of his rope trying to keep this girl he swore to protect and find a way to get his boss and partner back to normal then said boss comes in like a boss and punch the big bad argomon(mega) and agumon realizing this great ready to mix this psycho plant man as ShineGreymon(& Burst Mode)
This movie isn't my favorite but it's definitely way up there in terms of digimon films. The fight scenes were amazing, the whole thing was beautifully animated, and the story was all around fun and interesting. Rhythm kissing him and saying I love you caught me way off guard to the point where I couldn't help but laugh. Overall I'd give it a 7.5/10 (I should rewatch it sometime soon 😅)

Savers was my favorite Digimon movie and series too. Gaomon is one of my favorite lil' guys. And the bloopers were one of the best parts.
I was always sad this didnt get a dub release. It's a neat little film and I like the rookies being important. I do find it suffers the Adventure/Anime issue of "Let's just introduce a new character and not focus on any of the show characters," which is just tiring.
I wouldve loved to hear a more intense version of the dub soundtrack. Burst mode ost wouldve been fantastic
So Rhythm is basically a young girl version of Gennai, a digimon with no attributes making them look human if I remember that explanation right.
The line from Agumon about levels not mattering with strength feels like foreshadowing him going burst mode and beating Yggdrasil in the final episode.
And ShineGreymon is just so badass!😂😂😂😂😂

@@animeguy1101 Lilimon falling in love with a guy, but he is gay, then afterwards with the protagonist(?), in a scene after a Domination battle.
A random NPC woman wanting to date a Digimon.
Minervamon quest(?), she ended up continuing to stay chatting with her "friend".
Also, since we are here, I'll have to say: Jellymon and Kiyoshiro from Ghost Game. After Emma, there's no way the jellyfish is letting any woman other than her near this boy. XD

There is technically one more Digimon Movie you haven't checked out yet called Digimon X-Evolution, although it's a movie on its own. 👍
I've watched it before I made the channel and I don't really enjoy it lol so I don't think I want to watch it again for the channel hah. That's why I made sure to say "2D" Digimon movie :P

Since this was a movie heavily based on the Digimon themselves and you just said that you did every single 2D movie why not do a review of Digital Monster X-evolution? Imo it was decent but my favorite part was Leomon dying for no reason

Saviors / Data Squad is one of the better seasons. I watched it all on TH-cam years ago. I’m assuming all of it is taken down and I have no idea what platform it ended up on, if any at all. I don’t think it’s on Hulu like 1-4 and Reboot.

The only "bad" thing about this movie is that its so short, I get why but a full 60 to 90 minutes movie in this style would be awesome, sadly its also the last good digimon movie since tri kizuna and 02 the beginning are just awefull (in my eyes), animation and art wise they are great but storywise yikes they suck

True but she doesn't seem to have any unhuman features or gears like other human-like digimon. It seems like they wanted Rythm to appeal to little girls so they made her a human but made her a Digimon so people wouldn't complain about her relationship with Agumon
@@micah459 Agree. Again, it's like Superman and Lois Lane, like, Superman has no unhuman physical characteristics, on the outside Kryptonians look like regular humans.
@AngelPerez-tu1nk I think Superman and Lois would be more accurate if a human was dating a human-like digimon or if an animal digimon dated a human who looked like an animal. Main reason why people don't see a problem with Superman is because he looks like everyone else whereas Rythm looks the opposite of everyone else lol.
