Hey doc love the videos can’t get enough of your positive enthusiasm towards fishing we need more content like this to lift the spirits when it can b so difficult for some people to get out and explore our great resources keep it up 👍 would love to see a Nootka sound adventure sometime I think u would love it 🎣 🎣 🐟
Thanks for the kind words, and for watching. I would like to get to nootka sound some day, but it is just a whole lot easier with the family to go to Ucluelet or Port Hardy and still have that out there feeling with the creature comforts of home. I'm sure I'll try it out at some point. I'm heading out to Ucluelet soon. Watch the Instagram you may see something if we catch some fish.
Hi Mr fishing Dr, thanks to you I caught a 17 1/2 inch kokanee(salmon :=) today!! Rainbow apex about 30 ft down. My biggest ever,..just need a fishfinder now(thanks for marking the spot :=)
@@TheFishingDoctorsAdventures So for some icing on the cake today,..first I caught an 18 incher,..then my cousin caught a huge 21/1/4 inch Hog! It's on my profile pic.. It's so fat it weighed 4.75 pounds on shore 2 hrs later..Is it true that any Koke over 20" is a trophy?
its actually worked surprisingly well despite many people saying that. only thing i changed was the starter and spark plugs since i bought in 2012 and its a 97. i paid 4000 bicks for the 16 foot spectrum and 75hp force. so this thing ohs me nothing. Ive done so many ocean trips on it even the whole season my trophy was out of commision. so you can say what you want, but so far so good.
My biggest kokanee the past 15 years have all been August My boats welfare but I outfish most of the guys on our lake with fancy Strikers and welded Princecrafts etc Old 12ft fiberglass beat up but sturdy and a 2.5 hp 4 stroke Yamaha that has started on 2 pulls 16 years now Don't even have downriggers just leadcore My collection of rods reels and all gear etc is where my investment is......I do pest control trol for one of the biggest fishing stores in BC I get 95$ in store credit a month.........15 years .....you should see my wifes face when i come home with another rod or reel too bad they don't sell boats

Hey Doc, it’s nice video! What is limit up there?
2 Kokanee in this particular lake. The lake were were on right at the end of the video has a limit of 5. Most lakes in the province have a limit of 5.
The Fishing Doctors Adventures What is lake in BC for monster Kokanee?
Are they good eating? I love trout and salmon. How about these?
Kokanee is fresh water Sockeye.
Kokanee are one of the best eating fish hands down!
@@volitanttitan8127 Pretty good eats!
What lure were you using for this?
Looks like a Watermelon Apex to me. They work pretty well.
What depths are you guys fishing at?
Lines were only 10 to 17 feet down. Over deep water like 200-300 feet.
🔥
I pulled a 7 3/4 lb kokanee out of the Cariboo in 2019....almost 23 inches
Yeah that's a giant.
@@TheFishingDoctorsAdventures caught 2 big red bucks larger than that 3rd week of August this year......deep water prespawn....meat was still great
