Great review thanks for sharing. I just ordered the standard size one and hoping my 6ft frame will fit in it sleeping on my side. Wanted it for its lightweight and current sale price. Good point about that 'rain fly' and no cover to the rear opening. I normally camp in warmer weather so shouldn't be an issue keeping it open...unless there is a fierce rain storm..
I just got back from a month long road trip with my Inspired Overland tent. I only had to use it about a third of the time but it worked great. I picked mine up from their Fremont store on 6/5/23. Mine still have the silver supports. Yours are black. Also your awning poles seem to be doing better than mine. Otherwise it was the perfect tent for me.
Just opened mine up for the first time today and the factory has angled the rain fly holes on mine so the shade is really taut, so that have listened for sure. Amazing value RTT.
Hey man, I know this video is kinda old but I desperately need your help lol. Looks like you have a rack similar to mine, I have the flat 3/4ths ARB mesh rack. Interested in getting one of these tents but mounting my old Smittybilt to this rack was a huge pain. Could you possibly give me a run down on how you did it?
Funny you ask, it was pretty bad the last time I went. First colder weather camp in the rtt. However I didn’t open any vents or fan circulating air. So next time I’ll remember to do that 🤦🏽♂️
Mounting the tent was simple. Just removed cross bars made some measurements of the tent and where I wanted it to set. Mounted the cross bars to the tent and threw it up. This tent is only 87lbs so doing it solo wasn’t a problem.

It’s going to be snug but won’t be a problem if you’re able to sleep at an angle.
Yep on your side or angle for sure. In about 5’9” and I can lay on my back flat but my toes touch the roof.

I agree great entry level tent. There’s things I would like to see changed a bit but no real complaints.

I mounted the tent to the cross rails of the roof rack, pretty basic.

How is the wind noise when driving?
I don’t notice any more wind noise then when I had just the rack and awning 🤙🏽
