Simple Stress and Strain Calculations - Example 4

Please help me this problem . A brake rod 25mm long and 12.5mm diameter is subjected to direct pull of 10,000 and is stretched 275mm .calculate the strain?

Can you check the extension, 275mm is too high. Should it be 0.275mm instead??
