I just happened to see your work yesterday and am intrigued with your technique. Great work and very helpful. Thank you so much and I will be watching from now on.
I've always had dificulty painting trees. Will try to apply the techniques I learned from your video & hopefully the trees on my paintings would start looking more realistic.
in this one you have a computer talking or something, but he is very detailed in how to paint. I love this, it really helps slot. I wish you could make more with the computer or whatever it is talking. Thank you so much for sharing such a gift of beauty.
+cindy hinson you're welcome cindy.... I don't think I can go back with the computer voice.. lots of viewers doesn't like it. Maybe I will just improve the clarity of my voice... thank you.
I am a huge fan of your painting, and I had just picked up a brush about two months ago. I really would like to paint realistically, and this tutorial really gave me a good foundation. Please continue posting more tutorial like this. Although you did do a tutorial on "afternoon by lake," I felt like this tutorial was a lot more helpful :)
Beautiful...I have great admiration for your style. I am a beginner , please explain what you mean when you said don't cover everything on the tree, "make some air"
I am just starting to learn Acrylic painting and I don't know what type of brushes should I use. I mean should the brushes be made of animal fur or something like that? I used to do water colours in the past and there we used brushes made of animal fur etc. Can those brushes be used here too??
+Smurf Papa, I always observed the forms everything around me. And I painted it on canvas and time goes by I learned to paint without reference... Just keep practicing and if wan't reference just go for it. Time comes you won't need it.
what type of pallete do you use ? is it glass , paper , wood , plastic or whatever .... also what brand of brushes do you use most ? is it best buy brand , because it looks like best buy .... most of my paintbrushes are branded by mont Marte gallery series acrylic and best buy ... my pallete is glass ...... I'm a 13 year old highschool student here in Philippines .....
my palette was wood and wrap in plastic. I mostly used bestbuy for my art lessons. but I use different brushes on my other paintings. Monte marte is a good brand... Pinoy din ako.. :)
Your videos are so much more personal with human quality when you are doing the speaking instead of a computer voice. Don't worry about your English, it's just fine, it's what makes your videos more personal.
Our world, as artists, over the years has been invaded by too much computer generated images, not that the work graphic artists do isn't good, and art is being produced in factories and sold at so called "starving artists" sales. We can't afford to lose that human element which helps identify our works with us, like a living signature. I'm looking forward to seeing more from you, and learning about your personal style. Little things you do can add greatly to one's own bag of tricks. Thank you very much for the heart and soul you give.
There is a glare on your canvas. We don't get to see the base color application too clearly for the leaves of the tree. The technique that's expressed is very easy, but the glare on the canvas caused by the position of the light is a visual obstruction to the viewer's eye. But we other experienced artists appreciate what you are doing. Have fun son!
Great video. I like all of your videos, you are a good teacher. Only if you could do without the background music. It is very annoying and drives me nuts. If I turn sown the volume, can't hear your comments and instructions.
+Hi John magne Lisondra, many thanks for taking the time to reply to my comment! Your work is captivating and you do not need any props to make it any better. You have helped me enormously. Thank you
+John, your landscapes are very interesting. Do you work from memory, or pictures? Have me made any videos showing how to draw the subjects in proportion?
Thank you so much! :) I dont have any picture reference.. I practice not to use any reference so that I can be independent when it comes to painting landscapes. I will be planning to have a tutorial like proportions in subjects soon..

Beautiful...I have great admiration for your style. I am a beginner , please explain what you mean when you said don't cover everything on the tree, "make some air"
thank you Franco.. It means that don't overdo on adding the highlights.. make some spaces between groups of leaves...
very nice painting
Many many thanks
Do you allow each stage to dry before adding the lighter shades?
Thank you!

Thanks for the tips :)
Thank you sooo much ♥️
Muy bonitó quedó. Sobre qué soporte lo hizo?

Most of the brushes are made from animal fur.. Yes you can use that also..
Thank you :)

You're welcome.. It's just normal synthetic flat brush sir..
Could you please tell us the number + type of brush you

+Nonnie stretch hi, I'm using 2 types of brush here. One was pointed round brush number 2 and a flat brush number 7 and or above.

holy xxxx really....wow impress...how u do it ? did u first copy and then with time u start doing all by imagination
+Smurf Papa, I always observed the forms everything around me. And I painted it on canvas and time goes by I learned to paint without reference... Just keep practicing and if wan't reference just go for it. Time comes you won't need it.
Hi am from india. You created a magic in 20 mins. The tips were very useful. can you teach paint a sea or ocean with waves.
Hello.. thank you very much! I already have a video of ocean and crashing waves... you can check it on my channel.
what type of pallete do you use ? is it glass , paper , wood , plastic or whatever .... also what brand of brushes do you use most ? is it best buy brand , because it looks like best buy .... most of my paintbrushes are branded by mont Marte gallery series acrylic and best buy ... my pallete is glass ...... Thanks a lot
you're welcome
I would like to see you painting the backgrounds as well. Thanks.
I would try that in the future....
where do u get the ideas or reference for ur work?
+Smurf Papa It's all imaginations sir...
Your videos are so much more personal with human quality when you are doing the speaking instead of a computer voice. Don't worry about your English, it's just fine, it's what makes your videos more personal.
Yeah you are right... this was one of my first videos and I didn't had confidence yet in using my voice. I use my own voice on my new videos.

+Huy nguyễn what song?
music ?:))
Очень реалистично
Ameiii
Very nice technique and tutorial . That music though is annoying as hell.
I agree....that freakin' piano and ghost-like voices are very annoying. But, the instructions are A+.
Thank you so much sir... its just a product of poor lighting from a poor studio. I will set a good lighting next time. :)
enjoyed your video, but cut the music.
This was one of my first video and i cut the music on my latest.
Great video. I like all of your videos, you are a good teacher. Only if you could do without the background music. It is very annoying and drives me nuts. If I turn sown the volume, can't hear your comments and instructions.
Enchanting, but please consider the repeating tune in the background, it becomes irritating and interferes with your wonderful skills
y. limor
+Yehuda Limor Thank you... I will lessen the volume next time...
Am I the only one who finds the electronic voice very irritating?
sorry about that. I was not confident to use my own voice.
John magne Lisondra Oh silly, you're fine. :)
No
I think your voice is okay too
This was very effective. I love your work.
Please don't use that voice. Either use your own or silence. Silence is golden
Sorry Mark, this was one of my old videos... I was not confident enough to use my voice..
thanks again, thats not your voice, it sound diferent
+Liza de Fasquelle you're welcome.. Yes it was computer generated voice.. I was not confident using my own voice that time.
english is not my first language either but I can perfectly understand your english wich is good enough for your tutorials, love your work
2
Please change the music!!!
+Dorothy Passarella actually i removed it on my new videos
What's with the big fingernail?! It's distracting!
Yah sorry about that.... It will be cut off.
I love the video, but please lose the awful misuc!
Im sorry about that... I completely removed it on my new videos.
+Hi John magne Lisondra, many thanks for taking the time to reply to my comment! Your work is captivating and you do not need any props to make it any better. You have helped me enormously. Thank you
