I just found this video while searching for Mercedes Benz repair videos and I can't say enough about how impressed I am with your tutorial. You were thorough and didn't skip any steps in your presentation. Most TH-camrs just talk about what to do but don't actually show it with the camera. It's getting harder and harder to find good quality videos that actually SHOW THE REPAIR PROCEDURE. Excellent work.
I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out how to get to the seat controller. I had all the edges of the door loosened, but couldn't figure out the center section. Great DIY video. Thanks for the tips.
very good video kid...thanks. just one addendum - fyi- the 2 door W140 coupe front door panels are slightly different. on the coupe, you cannot pull the small wood seat control panel out, it's bolted in from back side. also on coupe, there are 3 screws inside door panel compartment, not 2. and there is an additional big screw facing forward at front of door compartment, with a small square cap over it, very easy to miss. other than that, great job on video, thanks. you got me going on mine and was able to pull door panel, and get window back in front track. someone reassembled it wrong.
Many Thanks Bence, it was really helpful for me coz I had removed the door panel on my W140 but could not put it back again. The door handle cable was my problem. But now I can put it back. I will check your other videos as well for sure.
Fantastic job. I messed with my door once before and now sometimes I have difficulty open it from inside I have to wait if seconds and try it again and then it opens up I don't know what's the problem I think it's somehow due to that cable That goes to the inside door handle . I may have to readjust it but I don't know how

Thanks for the illustration! I did follow ur steps for removing the panel, but putting it back in one piece was a hella of a job! I had broken several clips :( And didnt quite fit! Also will u be doing another vid for removing cars seat?
Awesome video! You really helped me! You're correct about there being few videos for this particular car. My passenger side outside mirror has a spring that detached. Any chance of a video showing how to take apart the back of the mirror?
Unfortunately I haven't run into that problem yet so I don't see a point in taking appart my mirror, but I Would suggest the forums are a great place to find info.

There are 2 tabs on the seat control panel. Slide those up instead of trying to try it out. If you pry it out those tabs will break
I'd highly recommend using vinyl panel pry tools. 10 bucks on Amazon, it will have a much lower chance of scratching the panels/finishes.

I don't think so... I think removing the door panel is the best/easiest way of getting to them.

Do not do this with coupe! You will destroy the wood panels (it's bolted on the back side)! In the coupe, there screws only in the stuffing box.
I tryed on my s500 w140 1996 and foud that opposit wau works better- don't need to break anything...
