@jclewerlive yeah, it's an A Custom Fast Crash 14". I moved to my K Custom Fast Crash in my newest vids just so I'd have all K's but still its a great cymbal. I'll be honest with you, I don't think you can go wrong with a K or A Custom.

You know, all you guys that keep whining about him not showing any emotion when he plays, shouldn't talk. Just because he's not exhibiting a Cobus level of emotion while he's playing, doesn't mean he's not enjoying himself, which, in my opinion, is what playing an instrument is all about.
@fireflys127 I'll be honest with you, if you can't figure out what's happening by hearing and seeing it played, you might need to try another instrument. The only tutorials needed for drummers are those involving technique and patterns. This song is not hard to figure out if you pay attention. I figured it out without seeing anything. You have video.
i like ur techniques ur so relaxed at playing even though this songs drumming is quite busy and sometimes i even play the kick pedal from a odd angle i dont know just seems to work for me lol 10/10 :D
I'd like to know where you heard that...this song isn't too hard to play live. There is nothing wrong with the way I played it. I did take few times to do it right though but what you see is me playing straight through the song.

@MisterFridayNight1 there's no extra bass hits, there's a bit of lag on the video so the sound comes just before he actually hits the bass. it's the same with every part of the kit

@chrsharvick29 zac said it himself on the brand new eyes deluxe edition.. when they were recording, at first he had fun playin, but after the first verse he was worried if he could play the whole song.. and then, when he was finished, his arm was hurtin like hell, and he said, that he is not sure if he could play it live.. dont get me wrong, you are awesome, and it sounds a lot alike, but i think you get me now, why it cant be 100% right, coz u were chilling^^, while zac was straining himself
@Mr023EarVSkiE that's not a place for fills, it wouldn't go anywhere. There are fills going into that then out of it. If I were doing fills there, it would be over done.

@chrsharvick29 I'm making an assumption here so forgive me if I'm wrong but I'd imagine you'd have a heightened sense of hearing because of your blindness. Surely this would help you to zone in much easier on certain drum parts...great cover, by the way!

@decentdrummer911 he's been playing for 20, that should answer your question, what ever floats your boat, i'd recommend the slide technique tho, quite easy once you got it down, and it's powerfull and precise like chris said.
@chrsharvick29 agreed on tuning ur ears, once u get used to it all the other intruments will seem like they are way too low when in fact its just ur ears are tuned to the drums, then you'll be able to hear special shit the drummers do that other ppl can't hear or comprehend
well...believe me...I'm playing it right. I might not be playing as "HARD" but I'm playing the right parts. Just because Zac said it was a hard song to play live doesn't mean I can't play it right.

I'd like to know where you heard that...this song isn't too hard to play live. There is nothing wrong with the way I played it. I did take few times to do it right though but what you see is me playing straight through the song.
Any tips on if its a challenge to get your foot to go in a straight quick pattern like that without getting tired?

I have 2 clip mics for toms, 1 in between the rack toms, 1 on the floor tom...2 overheads, and a D112 in the kick....
