For the longest time, I tried to find a pant with a narrower leg opening, since it yields a cleaner cuff. That being said my thigh to calf drop is quite dramatic so, anything with a narrower leg opening my upper block wouldn't fit. I tried tapered fit for a while, but the thigh section was always too tight. Tl;DR it's more comfortable.
