Its like a wheelbarrow filled with dirt and dust without and the spur is completely open. Question, especially on HW-motors the pinions AAAALWAYS get loose on us...although we use strong loctite and let it cure for days. What is your secret, Sir?
Wow. Does this mean a Typhon is on the horizon? Once I saw the Kraton I had hopes for more EXB rigs. Arrma is just killing it at the moment with the new 3s rigs and these EXB's.
Yes for sure. its a Arrma take over. there probably should make a Typhon 6s EXB as well. No 3s EXB because there Mostly plastic to begin with which is not a bad thing. lighter and cheaper and almost just as fast as the 6s line.

I have the 3S version love it but once you mess around on the street and you tubble around and crash it does break plastic shock tower broke twice lol. But yeh that what happens when u bash on the street. 6S your not gonna have any issue just gonna get a banged up. My notorious is a monster and same chassis as typhon 6S. So far just bent a front drive shaft on my very first bashing. Is your typhon all stock or you did any gearing on it? Those can go over 70mph with the optional pinning gear it comes with. But at that speed you crash something will definitely break.
@@paulrakis yeah it's got a 20t pinion on it and I changed the braces and rear mount, I'd say its survived tumbles that my outcast n kraton full of m2c wouldn't of, when I broke the hub at a skate bowl full throttle every jump way up lasted ages 😎
Good choice of motor I know everyone always has to have the best and most expensive to say it's good but I've been running those hs for the last 5 years no issues. I run a 4092 1650kv in my Be6s and it's a absolute beast.👍👍
I bought the wheel hubs, waiting on. Stripped wheel hexes first run. I will do the do the foam too. FYI all Arrma needs lock tight on all wheel hexes all models. I loose tires even when tight as possible. AWESOME VIDEO!!!

Like ethier brand will work fine already got all the fluids I'm not going to run it until I put those shims in there and then make them more tight. I have no wheel nut issues Glue it with soft tread locker 7075 t6 alu is not true bend easily I have chassis brace from 7075 t6 and this type doesn't bend it snap straight away :) Video very good

2:07 There's room for days inside that thing. I've got a Dynamite Mach 26 sitting here with nothing better to do, complete with clutch, pipe, and matched 2-speed with reverse transmission. And the super nice thing about these EXBs is that all the stuff I'd be yeeting overboard in the conversion are already omitted from the getgo! Already thinking I'm gonna convert one to nitro alongside the Limitless build I have an OS 30VG stashed for. Really wish Arrma sold nitros from the getgo. Electric bores me. Ah well I'll just convert them myself if Arrma won't do it.

Yo Eric! Your set ups look so ideal. Mine look like meh lol. What material do you use to stop grass and stuff getting in the fan and stopping it? My mojave esc fan always gets clogged with grass and stops. yours with that screen looks like it breaths, and keeps large debris out. Do your fans ever get stopped up?

Good stuff, Eric! Do you know if the springs and sway bars are the same as the RTR version? I went with the stiffest optional springs and thickest optional sway bars on my RTR and it made a huge difference in terms of chassis roll. Also, are the shock towers the same shape or are they different like the Kraton EXB vs the Kraton RTR? What about the arms? Great vid as always, Brother E!

I should have mine on Tuesday. Going with Max 6 and 1100kv motor. Which pinion gear would you recommend? Local hobby shop didn't have any mod 1 8mm pinion in stock
Nice!👊Is that a 56mm can? That may be a bit heavy for this truck👀You'll need to completely overhaul the suspension for sure. If you go with that, I'd get a smaller spur like the 46 tooth Infraction spur and maybe start with a 20 tooth pinion and go up from there. All depends on temps. It would take a huge pinion to get such a low kv motor with stock spur moving in her and will probably cogg. Itll definitely be an experiment!😜😎💪🤘🤘
@@RCDUDE81 yes, 56mm can, weighs 32oz, I qas going for long term bulletproof motor. I have always bought rtr, my first roller so new experience for me. If you think it's too heavy and too low rpm, might swap for the 1650kv so I don't have to swap out spur gear. I definitely want to some speed out of this but enough power to push it around easily
Yeah a 1650kv will be much better imo. I'm using a 4092 1480kv in mine now since my 1730 said goodbye!😝🤣A 25 tooth got her ripping but coggs a little. I'm honestly not sure either if the 5687 will mount to the stock slide🤔

No problem bro!👊Just be aware you may need a custom motor mount with a 5687. As far as M2C, the towers just got released and I highly recommend the +2mm hexes and M2C Outdrives. The big power will chew up the stockers. I talked about that in my latest Mojave vid. Take it easy and good luck!😎💪👊

Well the diff issue has been resolved with the Mojave. LSD X1 in the rear now. I added outer bearing shims as a personal preference👌Nothing is perfect but wrenching is part of the hobby.😜
@@RCDUDE81 I agree nothing is perfect . But Arrma needs to do a better job at Quality Control. I know this is way out there but somewhat similar as for mechanical engineering. When you buy a new car from dealer you don't tear it down to check !! Or for anything mechanical, motorcycle, Boat, lawnmower, etc etc.... As far as wrenching if you bash it you will wrench it !! Given... but not out the box! A lot of people don't want to hear this but I never had to tear down Traxxas out the box, X-maxx and many more ! Yes after i bashed just like you . Wrenching always comes into play thats the nature of this hobby.

The typhon v4 is unbelievably tough gave mine all kinds a hell only broke 1 rear hub carrier , does have hot racing chassis braces on it tho

My mojave esc fan always gets clogged with grass and stops. yours with that screen looks like it breaths, and keeps large debris out. Do your fans ever get stopped up?

Good stuff, Eric! Do you know if the springs and sway bars are the same as the RTR version? I went with the stiffest optional springs and thickest optional sway bars on my RTR and it made a huge difference in terms of chassis roll. Also, are the shock towers the same shape or are they different like the Kraton EXB vs the Kraton RTR? What about the arms?

I should have mine on Tuesday. Going with Max 6 and 1100kv motor. Which pinion gear would you recommend? Local hobby shop didn't have any mod 1 8mm pinion in stock
Nice!👊Is that a 56mm can? That may be a bit heavy for this truck👀You'll need to completely overhaul the suspension for sure. If you go with that, I'd get a smaller spur like the 46 tooth Infraction spur and maybe start with a 20 tooth pinion and go up from there. All depends on temps. It would take a huge pinion to get such a low kv motor with stock spur moving in her and will probably cogg. Itll definitely be an experiment!😜😎💪🤘🤘
@@RCDUDE81 yes, 56mm can, weighs 32oz, I qas going for long term bulletproof motor. I have always bought rtr, my first roller so new experience for me. If you think it's too heavy and too low rpm, might swap for the 1650kv so I don't have to swap out spur gear. I definitely want to some speed out of this but enough power to push it around easily
Yeah a 1650kv will be much better imo. I'm using a 4092 1480kv in mine now since my 1730 said goodbye!😝🤣A 25 tooth got her ripping but coggs a little. I'm honestly not sure either if the 5687 will mount to the stock slide🤔

No problem bro!👊Just be aware you may need a custom motor mount with a 5687. As far as M2C, the towers just got released and I highly recommend the +2mm hexes and M2C Outdrives. The big power will chew up the stockers. I talked about that in my latest Mojave vid. Take it easy and good luck!😎💪👊

Well the diff issue has been resolved with the Mojave. LSD X1 in the rear now. I added outer bearing shims as a personal preference👌Nothing is perfect but wrenching is part of the hobby.😜
@@RCDUDE81 I agree nothing is perfect . But Arrma needs to do a better job at Quality Control. I know this is way out there but somewhat similar as for mechanical engineering. When you buy a new car from dealer you don't tear it down to check !! Or for anything mechanical, motorcycle, Boat, lawnmower, etc etc.... As far as wrenching if you bash it you will wrench it !! Given... but not out the box! A lot of people don't want to hear this but I never had to tear down Traxxas out the box, X-maxx and many more ! Yes after i bashed just like you . Wrenching always comes into play thats the nature of this hobby.

HI ! you have installed the kyosho diff shims in the diff rear of the mojave why of origin there is a problem! I tell you its because I ordered the mojave exb! and you are at top! an extreme basher!
I do that to tighten the mesh on the ring/pinion. The way I drive, it's just extra security for the gears!😎👊
