Thanks for the follow up, I’m glad I bought one today lol. 3oz of oil to go in the engine definitely can’t be good, and I can imagine it probably dilutes the fuel.
Hey nice video I like the catch can but wonder why they want it mounted higher than the engine. I think it should be mounted lower than hose connections.
Thanks for posting your helpful video. Just thought I’d mention JLT offers an additional 3 oz. separator can extension which fit with no problem on my ‘21.
Thanks for the vid , helped a lot, Just got mine in today but i noticed in the instructions it says for 2021+ models to use the m6 nuts and not the clips to mount the bracket to the battery tray, probably because the tray lip is smaller on the 21’s.
I ordered one for my powerboost but can’t find a way to mount. Does anyone know where to find any work arounds or other guidance on getting this installed?.
The only problem that I have had with this truck is the 400w AC outlets the truck bed one faulted causing the system to trip. Got it replaced and now it’s fine
How many miles does your truck currently have now and does it burn oil like the 18-20'? I sold my 18' 5.0 f150 cuz I couldn't stand loosing 1qt per 1000 miles. It was bullshit so I sold it. I don't want the Ecoboost but if the 5.0 burns oil too, I'll be getting the Ecoboost. There wasn't a end In sight and I was bringing my f150 to the dealer once a month on average. It got sickening.

Thank you for taking the time to show us how to install a needed oil separator.

I didn’t get nuts with mine only the clips. Maybe you got a newer version that wasn’t available when I ordered mine.
Installed mine today. 1st bolt was hard to get threaded in the clip. After that g2g.
Have one on my 2013 absolute must 👍🏻
Agreed. Thanks for watching.
What size drill bit for hole for bracket
It's a 3 once catch can great vid
Excellent Video. Thanks for sharing.
Just put one on my 2021 also

Don’t the instructions say to cut the hoses shorter on the 5.0?
Is there no other place to attach it to? Does it have to be the battery housing?
Can you put check valves on the lines also?
Thanks for video
What is your opinion on installing one on the drivers side?
I want one of these for my 2021 eb, are you not worried about Ford potentially voiding your warranty if they see a catch can installed ?
Not at all. With warranty law they have to prove the catch can caused an issue
I have one on my 2019 F-150 5.0L and I took it in for warranty work for the intake and they never said anything about the oil separator.
Any problems with yours after 1 year?

@MIKE'S GARAGE thanks Mike!

I have over 8k miles and it doesn’t burn oil. That’s crazy a qt every 1k
Brian, My '18 was using oil untill I asked the dealer about the sercive bulletin, once that was done, it has stopped.
