This is an amazing lecture! He talked about 'social capital.' In Makkah the messenger of God (peace be upon him) had significant social capital i.e. he looked after the orphans, he fed the poor etc He was known for his good works to such an extent that he was called al Ameen, the trustworthy. It was very easy for people to believe in his message because his character was known, he had 'social capital.'

Suhaib is an honorable member of the Muslim and Islamic community in America and abroad. People know him very well. The question is, who are you? Why should we believe the non-sense you are saying about him over the intellectual and theological contributions of this great man. I have an america born muslim wife from a muslim family but she plans to leave me for not living in america and she refuses to wear hijab... Its so sad.
Suhaib web is a very good Imam. There is nothing wrong with him at all! I have known his man personally since 2001 he was my first imam when I converted.
