In the beginning I had copied your settings and I missed every shot gun shot.... I also play on expo and I had to lower my settings... I started with 25 look and 10 ads and I gradually raised it once a month... 42 look is still a bit all over the place for me. So I'm currently on 32 look and ads on 14 and everything seems good and I can track players pretty well.... Perfect settings is perfect for that person.. Jake still plays claw and wrecks people constantly without trying 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for the tips, man.... I strive to come close to your game play...
I agree bro. Ur going miss shots n feel worst moveing up but ur going get better. I just went up 1 sensitivity to slowly go up and found the sweet spot. Then its not as much of drastic change.
What I did to find decent settings for me on controller: Hop into an aim train map. Choose if you want to test your settings for close, medium, or longer range. Also decide if you want to change hipfire or ads sense. Go to a spot where you can practice at your decided range, and use a weapon that you would use for the current season, or perhaps multiple weapons from the season. Try out you current settings. If you're not hitting enough shots to be happy, change it. Also consider adding some boost instead of changing the look sense itself. This can help get a different look sense than the regular flat numbers and may or may not work for you. I do know there are people who sear you should never use boost and if that's you that's perfectly fine as well. When you're decently happy with your results, try the settings in some real games. Not one game, multiple. Evaluate what situations you're doing well at, and where you struggle. Keep this in mind to help change settings again if needed. Repeat the process as needed. You may need or want to change settings as seasons or metas change because how you typically fight can change with the meta.
Most important thing when tuneing sensitivity is to find a value where you can control hipfire, as your not going to want to ADS all the time because ADS makes your movement slower making you an easier target.
Agreed 100%. Recently changed from Jake’s sens since chapter 3 to expo and yeah, the first few days were rough but getting much better now just takes time. I do think however that the AR tracking at range is drastically better and also the smg hip fire tracking. That being said, quick shotgun flicks are much harder now but lining up a clean shot seems to be easier. All in all, I think it’s better for me as I only play zero build duos/squads and the AR tracking feels more important rather than when I play solos and with the swords it’s easier to line up a shot rather than have to quick flick. I copied Emips sens but altered the ADS sens to something I’m more comfortable with. Feels really good rn
Great advice Jake! I think players fixate on controller settings after they watch pros in build mode. What matters most is experimenting and having fun with it. I tried a wide variety of settings before finding what works for me: Linear, with turning on the slow side so I can hip fire, very fast edge acceleration so I can still turn quickly, and a slooooow aim down site. My game got a lot better when I stopped trying to copy pros with incredibly sensitive settings and flailing around everywhere and found what worked for me.
Been playen linnear and expo and expo has glue aim but in close fights it just feels clunky.. if the person hopes over me im dead. Linnear is better but its much harder making those small adjusments. Im on a ps5pro btw

People obsess over CS settings beyond any other game I've played. There are/were countless crosshair-generating websites and pro player configs. The only configs I've used in games were for performance, especially when I played on laptops in the past. I played on extremely high sensitivities in my early years of CS and when I played COD 4 and similar shooters mainly because when I started playing those games I was on a small mousepad and developed a very wrist/flicky aim style. In my last few years of CS I drastically reduced my sensitivity as I got better mousepads and focused more on spray control over tapping. For FN, I'm also on quite low sensitivity with a very low scope sensitivity for the holo. Feels wonderful for tracking people who are shocking, gliding, and shooting from behind rocks/roofs.
I used to have my sensitivity around 50-55 for both horizontal and vertical. Recently got my hands on an elite series 2 controller and i was not used to aiming and jumping and so i lowered my sensitivity to 39 and i feel more consistent. I feel too slow turning sometimes tho but it feels a bit better when i warm up

Hey jake i play on mobile with gyroscope which gives me crazy advantage over other mobile players but the Ads adjustments are slow sometimes and im not sure if aim assist even works
Weirdly enough for me. I play on controller and use a bit of boost for both ads and look sens with default ramp times. No dampening because it makes small adjustments too slow and inconsistent. I've always used this sensitivity for years and honestly i think its my most comfortable sens ive had yet.
On mouse and keyboard is there anywhere to change the speed build up to exponential? The default feels like it's linear and I've had countless times where I wished I could have it start slower and speed up the longer I'm moving the camera, that one change would be a big reason for me to swap to controller even on PC if it isn't available.
Would love to se a video about practicing fights in and around cars - are there creative maps for that? Every time I try the pickaxe trick i bounce off the car...

VIDEO CONTENT idea! A lot of us started way later than most of this reload loot and was in the game. Potentially you could make a video about for example how the havoc Pump compares to the normal pump/ Tac etc. Compare and contrast the different AR’s in reload. I know you’re not much of a reload guy but it does have a ton of things you could teach your audience about!
- Set sensitivity between 30-100 - Use expo or linear curves - Practice against bots with aim assist (AA) off - Once proficient, turn AA back on - Daily Warm up without AA, finish with AA on before going into games.

Default settings are 🍑 lol I agree i copied someone settings who played alot of zerobuild which is what i play. Overtime Ive adjusted so much to keep dialing in. Always tinkering with upping my sensitivity or mouse speed
Be careful with creative. The aim assist there vs regular br is much different. Playing creative had me on 55/55 linear, 20/20 ads and I wasn't missing a shot. I go into a br feeling confident and I'm missing bots. Honestly I haven't found a comfortable sens since they made that human like aim assist change.
The only 2024 people in here are Battlefield players that the hit registration still hasn't caught up yet they think they're still watching the New Years ball drop

The aim assist change messed everything up for me on console. sometimes it even feels like the aim assist pushes u away from the enemy when in ads.

Decrease slide hold time, it is very useful for movement and throwing other players off high grounds.
