- My first attempt at combining cinematic cameras with a story telling element, in a similar style as the 'Densha de D' series.
In this episode, Takeshi Nakazato goes to Mt. Akagi to challenge Ryosuke Takahashi to a hillclimb battle, to finally end their rivalry in one of their favors. But of course, Ryosuke isn't an easy opponent to defeat, so Takeshi spent some intensive time improving his car and his driving...
This takes place in Second Stage, just before the Emperors arrived.

That second attack got my blood pumping, the storytelling felt natural and true to the characters. Great work!
I am sooo late like this video is a year ago, but man! This is the first time I see a racing movie with such cool storytelling! I always loved how they explain what happens in the race in initial D, but this is the first time someone made a fanmade movie like this.
I am not even exaggerating, this is directed better than most races (or just any races) in fast and furious. Actually comparing this masterpiece to fast and furious races is insulting to this video.
After watching this, you won't be able to watch fast and furious races (yes including tokyo drift) without even laughing at how stupid they are! (not hating on fast and furious, but I need to compare this with something)
Edit: I also watched your other videos (like the AC team vs team battles) and they are great! It would be awesome if you could keep on making these types of videos

It was a surprisingly unscripted race.
However in the first section leading up to the first overtake, I had to go easy on the throttle in the GTR to not just completely outrun the FC lol

youre telling me that ryosuke also had a twin turbo?
Dont think so. The logic in this race was that the GT-R wins in the low speed acceleration, but is nearly equal to the FC at high speed (of course taking the Initial D tunes into consideration, not the actual cars that we used in AC as they were stock).
@@EuroBeat how can that happen? Unless both engines haven’t used the turbo and their naturally aspirated performances are equal corresponding to their weight
@@justkev1044 I mean of course, an FC doesn't stand a chance against an R32 on the uphill, unless heavily tuned. But it doesnt make for a good story, which is what I was going for here.

Why is the RX7 and GTR using stock cosmetics
Because there are no "Initial D" Spec versions of those cars that look as good as those ones made by DDM.
Also because this originally wasn't planned to be an "Initial D Episode", but instead just a regular cinematic without any story.
