When I enter start tangency and I click my cursor near by, the spline will jump somewhere very far and I dont know why this is happening.

This is also occuring on my computer.

@@peterburbery2341 I struggled quite awhile and then found the solution eventually. You need to finish off the two point spline with the end tangent option (cause two point spline is the only one that works in 3D) then go to Spline Edit and modify it when modifying look down in command window and there is an option for a start tangent. So to make this short. Check the Spline Edit command. Some people suggested in forums to use 3 point spline, but the problem with that is that you can not use it in 3D. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Dear Sir, I wanted to draw an ellipse with a less pointy tips on the longer sides. So, I tried to replace the tips of the ellipse by first trimming it off and joining it with splines. However, it appears that the starting and ending points of the spline does not match the angle of the lines of the ellipse where it were trimmed off even after adjustments. How could I make the spline start/end at the same angle as the line where I trimmed off the ellipse?

You can try starting the spline from the shorter sides i.e. from the minor axis rather than the major axis. This way you will not face the problem of having pointy tips

You didn't mention how to create another control point between existing ones. Can anyone do this???
